• Ridiculous, at least Big Papi didn't miss two out of three noms every draft. Been in the league since the beginning and there have certainly been some dumb deals but never anything nefarious seeming. Commish has always done a good job.

  But I plan in, or have played in, a lot of leagues with Big Papi. Has their own style of play that remains consistent across leagues. And, yes, often sits out auctions with a near-full roster.

• The Ragans and Skubal deal had seven players going back to Papi including Yelich, Logan Gilbert, Connor Norby, Cade Horton and Max Clark. And James Wood was acquired for Hunter Greene straight up. Debate can be had on all of this based on personal preference and analysis but I would not call those returns "nothing". All of those looked like fair deals to me at the time, and still look like fair deals to me now.

• Furthermore, I (as commish) have no veto power. I have one vote like the rest of the league. I also generally operate on the idea that we're all adults trying to win and I'm not someone with a window into the future. Trading for a young, unproven, high-ceiling player can work out but it can also backfire. Pumpkin can address his dealings further, if he so chooses, but to lay out some facts in response so we're all on the same page: Caminero was traded for Austin Riley straight up.

• I can assure everyone Pumpkin and Big Papi are not the same manager. Big Papi was an Ottoneu super-user. He had over 100 teams. This is why he did not always participate in the auction draft. He also departed the league this offseason in a consolidation effort of his rosters, and the team has a new manager right now.

  Big Papi isn't the only accomplice. Lots of talent (all cheap) is funneled to Pumpkin from other teams. Too many moves to list. Check roster and trade history.
  Bottom-line, Pumpkin Escobar is a shyster and doesn’t act alone. Commissioner looks the other way. This league is corrupt!

  Newcomers, be wary of toxic relationships. Particularly between Pumpkin Escobar and Big Papi Memories. Pumpkin acquired Junior Caminero, James Wood, Tarik Skubal, and Cole Ragans for nothing (check trade history). Pumpkin has won the league 4 straight seasons while Big “Sloppy” bottom feeds most years. It’s likely Pumpkin and Big Papi are controlled by the same user; the trades are that egregious. Also, Big Papi doesn’t partake in the auction draft. Suspect.

  Welcome to our new managers! They are from another league, finishing in 1st & 2nd place. Both of them are commissioners elsewhere, as well. They manage several teams (not easy to do), and naturally, they know our favorite Big Papi. They’ll (undoubtedly) bring added experience, competition, activity (KEY) and “positive vibes” based on my experience w/both. Looking forward to having them!
