Wow, I'm also Matt and my team is also named after Ben Lindbergh. Automatic rivalry initiated.
Also, welcome! Thanks for jumping in.

Welcome Matt. Good luck.

Hey guys, I'm Matt. New owner taking over the former Lagunitas team. Looking forward to it!
-
Our new owner for Lagunitas (or whatever the new owner decides to name the team) has taken control of the team. He's allowed to make free cuts as I mentioned earlier.
-
I have no problem with that.
-
Fine by me.
-
I think that makes sense. Not their fault they joined late.

Hey everyone, Lagunitas reached out to me a few days ago letting me know the league is not for him and as such I have found a new owner to take over the team. I have just one question: How do we feel about allowing the new owner a free round of cuts given that it is the middle of the season? I'd say it's okay but wanted to get the league's feedback.
-
My wife is already exhausted by how much I talk about Yandy, so it’s fitting : D
-
Love the new team name and player it's named after!

I stole the lead for a brief minute or two and then Jeurys Familia happened. (this hurts extra b/c I'm a Mets fan).

I've got a lot of guys on my bench I'd be willing to trade for an extra reliever. Send me a message if you're interested.

Yeah I have Chris Sale in another league... his 3HR negated the good outing I got from Verlander.
-
Meanwhile, 3HR Chris Sale wrecked my day.

Peyton with that $1 Tim Beckham pickup is looking like a prophet after 3 games

Yes, that’s the cap.
-
Hey guys just to confirm there is a 1500 IP cap on this league, correct?
-
Happy Opening Day! I have fully committed to getting no work done today on account of the baseball and basketball that is on.
-
Holy crap this ST has been rough on my roster. Gennett, Oslon, Luzardo, Folty.....damn.

If you guys could stop outbidding me on players I want that would be great. Go nuts on the guys I don’t want!
-
Those teams will not be able to set lineups, make trades, bid on players, or anything like that.
-
Rules: Hi guys, excited for the season to almost be here (not counting the M's and A's). Just a quick question, what happens to the teams that are over Cap/Roster guidelines? Is there any sort of restriction/punishment moving forward when the season starts? Thanks.

I needed another good bat with Olson going down. In this case my plan was to shift Tyler Wgite into the 1B and start Moncada at second.
-
I failed to include a comment on the trade, which is ironic since I recently asked someone else to do the same thing. So here's my comment:
IOSU and I bandied about a few possibilities, so this is a counter-offer. He was short on MI depth, while I was short on SP. I had more salary cap space, thus the Munoz inclusion and the loan. Especially considering the Olson injury, IOSU needs another 2B.

Well might as well give up now. IOSU has got 1st place locked up.
-
With his history, he’ll be suspended by April 1 for something
-
I am really glad I randomly decided to grab Kang right before he earned the starting job in Pittsburg.
-
Fair enough, that's basically what I figured. Since there was no comment on the transaction, I just wanted to double check.

I.O.S.U. summed up the trade just as I would. I needed to open up the salary for this year and I assume he will be pleased to have Sal for next year. There was no discussion necessary as this trade benefits both parties with competitive windows in mind.
-
I don't really see much of a problem with the trade.
-
I'm not sure I can add much. The offer was made, I accepted. I presume the idea was to make a small salary dump, and to free up roster space, while not taking on the penalty dollars. I had an IL spot open and the money to take on Perez...but we never discussed the deal.
-
Velo Beasts's trade block has been updated!

Can one of the parties in question explain how the Sal Perez trade benefits IoSU? I can make my own guess, but I'd appreciate some paraphrase of your discussion before I vote.

Schroedinger's Bats's trade block has been updated!
-
Since catchers never play a full 162, the extra slot is there just to make it easier to actually get 162 games out of your catchers.
-
It looks like there is a 1,500 inning cap on pitching, correct? Also there's an 810 game cap on OF (which makes sense, 5 x 162 is 810) but there's a 162 game cap on Catcher (for 2 catchers it should be 324). Any insight is appreciated
-
@Ben it's something I'm thinking about, but gotta make sure Kershaw isn't going to miss more time than usual, ya know?
