Round 4, Pick 11: Simeon Woods-Richardson, P, TOR
-
It's the marketing strategy for the new stadium - bake in the sponsorship. Built by Lowe's for Lowes.

I'm gonna take a swing with Sam Huff, C, TEX.

I thought I should mention that this is the way I am leaning as well. I think the details would be too murky for everyone involved if we allowed this. I don't want to have to say "Owner A said I'd get Player A for Player B once the draft was over and we could trade again." Too much time to have an owner have a change of heart which would be a pain to deal with.
-
I don't have a preference one way or the other, but it would seem easiest to have the inaugural draft simply be the moment each manager creates a minor league team. Once completed, those players and the following year's picks are tradable assets. This way, each manager has established a minor league group from which to trade and has the same number of picks for 2021. The field is level at the start and each manager can do with his/her capital as seen fit from then on.

Since we don’t have equal access to picks (unlike starting a mid-season auction) this could be a mess and, at a minimum, should not be a rule instituted halfway through a draft. I’d be open to revisiting it ahead of next year’s draft, but like SB said, it would be tough to do fairly with trades unavailable right now, unless you were only trading spreadsheet MiLB players for one another.

Hm my only worry about that is trades are off until the draft. So we can't actually have teams trading up for picks, for example. I'm not sure how i feel about this, what do others think?
-
After this pick, if someone is worried about a player making it to them I’ll select them and make a deal for said player 😬 is that legal?? I’ll make my pick tonight after work
-
Thanks for making this whole thing run so smoothly everyone! I am quite impressed with how quickly this thing has moved along. As an update: Boba Chette is currently on the clock for the 4th pick in round 3.
-
Hunter Bishop, OF SFG
-
Francisco Alvarez, C, NYM
-
Thx for the answers fellas.
-
For the first pick in round 3, give me Brailyn Marquez's upside please.
-
For the final pick of round 2, I'll take Geraldo Perdomo, SS ARI.
-

No, they don’t affect your 40 man until they debut in the majors, at which point they’ll be added to your roster as a $1 player

So this answer is probably obvious, or has been covered and I just managed to miss it, but the players taken in the MiLB draft count against our 40 man roster, yes?
-
Round 2, Pick 11: Triston Casas, 1B, BOS
-
At pick 2:10, I would like to select Luis Campusano, C (SD). Thunder Gun is up.

Yeah you'd be pretty hard pressed to get me to pick a young pitcher in this thing tbh. Time to practice what you preach Squirrels!
-
I usually preach TINSTAAPP, and then I just went and took two SP who didn't even throw a pitch in 2019...
-
Triston McKenzie, SP, CLE, Mookie is up!
-
Good pick!
-
George Valera, OF, CLE. Flying Squirrels are up!

Sorry guys, i'm working overnight tonight and my notes/spreadsheet are at home. I'll be home in 7 hours and make my selection shortly after. Also, why the hell couldn't Paxton have gotten his surgery a week ago!? What a jerk! lol
-
No problem! Just glad the league wanted to roll with it!
-
This really was a great idea, thanks again for the suggestion TLBM!
-
