Thanks for making that change, Commish!
I'd like to add Juan Soto, Lucas Erceg, Jesus Sanchez, and Monte Harrison to my big league roster for 1$ please. I'll keep Riley Pint in my MiLB roster please. Thanks!

Due to feedback the MiLB slow draft will be after the auction.

On the commish tools page, I can see when the last time each owner has visited this site and checked on the league. Every team except Cash Me Outside has visited in the past 3 days. I have reach out to Cash Me Outside to remind about cuts. All the teams did do their allocation earlier in the offseason, and I believe all the teams will make their cuts on time. If you don't make your cuts, you will be eating half the salary for players you want to cut on 2018 salary cap.

I'm with Grandpa here. Due to people cutting some pretty good Milb prospects and players that might come along like Ohtani, I think all owners should have a fair chance to bid on these players through the auction before we due the Milb snake draft. Like Grandpa said, in fairness, we should all have the chance to bid a couple bucks for some of these Milb eligible players that have been cut or have really jumped up in the rankings.
-
Also, it looks like "Cash Me Outside" has been MIA for a bit. Hopefully he shows up and makes his cuts, but is there a plan in place for what to do if he (or anyone else) is over after the cut deadline?

That would solve the issue for Ohtani, however there are a handful of other MiLB players (not yet rostered) that I'd be willing to pay a few bucks for and it'd be nice to have an equal opportunity.

You can't take a player in the auction and move him to your MiLB roster. I see the point in doing the MiLB after the auction. I will note that if we do the auction in Feb, we should make Ohtani off limits, since he hasn't played a minor league game yet.

If we take a milb player in the auction can we put him on the milb roster or does he stay on the 40 man . I'm open to whatever you guys decide doesn't matter

Great point. I second grandpa Bruner here.
-
I believe, in the spirit of fairness, it should be after the auction draft. Best example is Ohtani. If the MiLB is before the open auction, the person with the first pick gets first and only shot at him.

I like having the MiLB draft in Feb before the auction, but I am open to doing it after the auction. If you have an opinion/preference please post.

I was wondering this as well and it would be nice to get sorted because I think it would definitely influence who I keep on my Milb roster. For example, If the Milb draft is after the auction I would rather hold onto Franklin Perez than risk dropping him.
-
Just looking over the 5MiLB rules and it looks like the MiLB draft generally occurs after the annusl auction draft each year. This allows everyone an equal shot at each unsigned player. http://community.ottoneu.com/t/5milb-rules-for-ottoneu-champions-league/1016

I added Colome back at the same $17 price. If anybody else cuts by mistake, please post on the board promptly and I will fix it.

Maine Martian, Giminez has been cut from your MiLB roster. For the sake of transparency, I will be cutting Delvin Perez off my own MiLB roster.

Wade, you can't put people back on the MiLB roster. The 3 on your roster you will need to keep on your MLB roster or cut them and they will be available to everyone in the auction. Only players that have not had a major league plate appearance or thrown a pitch are eligible to be on the MiLB roster.

A note on the schedule. We will be doing the MiLB slow draft starting in the middle of Feb. The auction will take place in mid to late March. I will send out a doodle in the next week to try and narrow down some dates. I love seeing all the late action before the cut deadline.

MiLB players are generally kept on your MiLB roster until they acquire a plate appearance or batter faced in the majors. You can keep them on there for multiple years and you can also trade players on that list. Please post your MiLB cuts on this message board and I will cut them on the spreadsheet. If you wish to add a MiLB player to your roster before they are called up, I can do that, and it will be for $1.

Are we able to add MiLB players keepers at this point to our MLB roster? If so, would it be for 1 dollar?

Please submit your MiLB cuts before the keeper deadline. The MiLB roster website is in the League Settings tab at the top right of this page. Please note, your MiLB keepers are kept in the last possible round of the MiLB draft. For instance if you keep 1 player on your MiLB roster, that player will be kept as your 5th pick in the MiLB draft. If you keep all 5 of your MiLB players, you will not have a pick in the MiLB draft.
