Couchmanagers has gone from slow loading, to eliciting warnings that the site wasn’t safe, to being completely inaccessible.

Couchmanagers appears do be down and or dead/dying... I'll see if it clears up later tonight, but we might have to come up with an alternative solution.

Join with a blank team / username and I'll align your keepers. We'll start with 3 nominations per team this year to get things going a little more quickly.

What happened with the live draft? Thought we had enough support for it.
-
It was worth a go! I'm looking forward to signing all the guys!

Welp, looks like we'll do a slow draft! I'll set it up and send out a link. If it's alright, we'll start a week from today - Tuesday, March 4, at 12 PM Eastern. I want to make sure everyone has the weekend to join correctly (and the start time on a slow draft isn't 100% crucial).
-
I lied, I can't do 3/16 at 7p. I have another draft.

that message should've ended: "Hopefully we'll have a good 3-hour window!" Even a two-hour window would probably be enough to get most roster spots filled.
-
Alright, thanks to everyone for responding! I really enjoyed the live drafts we've held in the past and it seems like we have a good amount of support for it. I'd like to try scheduling one (even though, in practice, anyone who strongly prefers a slow draft can veto by making themselves unavailable!).
So here's a poll: https://www.when2meet.com/?29087748-1mwIh
I picked a 12-hour range (ET) so we could all just shade in whenever we're available. Hopefully we'll have a g

I like the slow draft due to different time zones. However, if all can attend I will gladly do the live draft.

I’d prefer a live auction

I always prefer a live draft, but if it is easier for everyone to use the slow draft format, I can live with that. I'm either or.

Love the Couch Manager Slow Draft format! It's been a lot of fun these past years and avoids the inevitable headache of trying to find a slot/time that works for everyone. It's already difficult enough to juggle the work/life balance and Couch Managers gives us the perfect reprieve and offers continued excitement of having an ongoing draft we can look forward to, and wake up and draft everyday.

Either is fine with me

I prefer the live auction, I think it adds spice to the start of the season and let our impulsive selves deal with fun consequences :)
-
I'm up for either. I'm not traveling this year like I was this time last year. But the slow auction did work fine and was fun.

Welcome, Brandon! I'm last year's new guy. This is a great group of people to play with. They could be less good at fantasy, though!

Hey Brandon, welcome!

Welcome to the league! I hope you like the ottoney style, it's hard to go back to something easier after :) I'm Aurèle, coming from Montreal, QC Canada :)

Hey there all. Just sending out a message to introduce myself. My name is Brandon and I've been playing fantasy baseball since ~2005. Mostly Yahoo and mostly Rotisserie format. I am new to Ottoneu, but looking forward to the challenge. I am friends with the former owner of this team and I know I have some big shoes to fill taking over his spot. I'm a friendly guy, please don't hesitate to reach out if you want to chat ball, talk fantasy, make a trade, etc. Thanks for having me in the league.

My 15 year old had to do mine. He said I had share my location. He did it on something called Google maps.

Yeah, I did try both the phone and the laptop a few times unsuccessfully. All good. It was time for me to move on.

Maybe give it a quick try on your phone before you go?! We’d hate to see you leave, Eggs!

It was great to have you Eggs. The 2019 banner will fly (virtually) forever!

I spent a few days too. It ended up accepting it from my phone instead of my computer. I was very frustrated.

Hello all - sorry to do this on January 28, but I'm going to have to leave the league. I spent an hour or so over the last 2 days trying to make the payment and haven't figured out the Paydala system. Emailed help, went back and forth with Niv to no avail. Ultimately, I figured if I didn't care enough to spend another minute trying to make a payment, I'm not going to keep up with the league. It's been great playing with you all. Best of luck!

Quick reminder: Arbitration ends Nov. 14th! Only a few folks left.

Sorry for the delay, but the timing is apt. The Japanese Sumo Association just released the November banzuke today, and parallel to that is the release of our eague's 2025 banzuke. Hope you guys are enjoying the off-season. Looking forward already to next year!

As for Highland, I really gotta tip my cap! You had my sweating bullets these last few days! I was so impressed that you continually were hot on my trail! Man, I was so fortunate Ohtani didn't get another one of those 60 pt days in Colorado!
If he had I might have been the one congratulating you! Well played Sir!
I guess you just gotta let Ohtani cook! 😅😂👍

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Hard work really does pay off! It was a pleasure competing with all you Generals! The league is so competitive and every move, add, cut or transaction seems to always be under the microscope! We got a great crew and that's what makes this league so enjoyable to partake in. Excited to continue to compete with you all next year and to see what 2025 brings!
-
I gotta say, I didn't think the strategy would work, and I didn't think you would win. Dead wrong. Congrats, Otto-Wan! Your team is looking pretty sweet for another run or two, at least!
Updated banzuke coming shortly!

When you joined the league a few years back with all those minor league pickups (and drops) I wondered if you'd hang on to the right people to make it to the top. Congrats!! You've got some pretty nice prices to look toward making this an extended run. Take that "Neubi" off your team name now, Otto-wan KeChamp!

Congrats to the new champion! Heck of a rebuild that ends up in a flag. I guess it was some stressful last days. Fun stuff! I'm excited to see the banzuke from schrute now!

Congrats. Thanks to Colonic for running the show again.
