I think the major takeaways are that all of the inning and game caps are pro-rated as expected for a 60-game season, that no player loses positional eligibility they have now in 2021, and there is an "opt out" roster spot to stash players and regain a usable roster spot (but not regain salary).

Hey, all. Circling back to remind everyone to set their lineups for the season starting this Thursday!
-
Thanks to everyone for showing up on time for the auction. We clocked in at 2:45, which I think is our best time yet. I ended the auction formally, so you should now be able to do regular season activities like adding players and trading. I'll send out a reminder when the season kicks off to set your lineups.
-
And according to this update I found, innings and other PT will pro-rate to the number of actual MLB games played: https://community.ottoneu.com/t/coronavirus-update/7244
-
Sorry to say that you can't drop players before the auction. You'll be able to cut them after, but half of their salary will be dead money for your team. But remember you can trade money, too, if that will help.
-
I'm assuming no and in fact tried earlier today to confirm; site wouldn't allow it. But if we are, please do let me know as I'd also like to cut one!
-
Pardon my ignorance, too many league, too many rules. Can we drop current keepers previous to the auction? Thanks.
-
Question, will innings limits be prorated to account for however many games long the season ends up being? I'm assuming it won't be 162.
-
Anyway, it sounds like people are generally in favor of going ahead with the auction this Wednesday at 8pm ET, so let's plan on that. If anyone disagrees, let us know ASAP. Thanks!
-
If only I had thought of that $500 scheme, Tom!
-
Sorry for not responding sooner but I'm available and happy to proceed with the draft as well this Wednesday provided everyone else can still make it.
-
Wait, this isn’t for money? Why is Scott making me send him $500 before each season then? I’m good with keeping this week. I know Scott mentioned no time being good for everyone prior, so I think the only reason to try and push back would be because we could find a good time for all.
-
Since there's no money on the line, I'd be OK going forward. My home league (and the NFBC too, for that matter) decided to delay things ... but people are a little more invested, if you will, when they have a stake in the outcome. In this league, as in Tout Wars, everyone is operating under the same circumstances and there are no financial ramifications to worry about. (From the participants' point of view, that is.)
-
I'm indifferent. Might be just as tough to find a new time that works for all if we delayed.
-
Hey, all. Our auction is scheduled for this Wednesday at 8pm ET. Does everyone still want to draft then? I don't feel strongly about things either way, so I'm happy to let anyone with conviction decide.
-
It looks like we have a day and time for the auction that works for everyone. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 18 at 8:00pm ET. I'll send a reminder as the date approaches. Expect it to take about 3 hours, depending on how much roster you have left to fill. And let me know ASAP if that date and time doesn't work for you. Thanks.

Thanks to everyone for making your roster cuts. Next up, we need to decide when our auction draft will be. Last year's draft took just under 3 hours, and I expect this one will be about the same. Please fill out this link to let me know what times will work for you: http://whenisgood.net/apbhcrh

Appreciate the warm welcome! Chatwood is a free agent ... and that was Eric's selling point to me on joining this league

Welcome, Kyle! Now the full Fantasy Focus Baseball crew is on board. I wish I had Tyler Chatwood so I could trade him to you...
-
We have a new owner to replace Mike G.! Welcome Kyle Soppe, fantasy writer, researcher, and podcast producer for ESPN. Everyone should feel free to flood Kyle with trade offers, and remember that the cut deadline is this Friday night.
-
And finally, I haven't had any luck replacing Mike G. in the last couple of months, and since I don't work in baseball anymore, I don't run in the right circles. So I could definitely use some help if any of you have friends (in industry or otherwise) who would want to take over Mike's team. Just let me know if you do. Thanks.
-
You also need to make sure you have an eligible roster, which means a total salary under $400 plus room for at least $1 players up to a full roster of 40 players.
-
Hey, guys. This is your 10-day warning for keepers. By the end of January 31, you need to release any players you don't want or else you'll be stuck with them and their current salaries until after the auction draft.
-
I haven't had any luck so far either. Anyone know someone who would want to join the league?

Today is the last day for arbitration and 6 teams have not allocated yet. Also, do we have a replacement for Mike Gianella? Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who could join.
-
Hey, all. Mike G. is leaving the league, so if anyone has a replacement owner in mind, let me know. Otherwise, I'll see what I can do.

Hey, guys. Arbitration is now open. Between now and mid November, please go to the Arb page and allocate at least $1 to each of the other 11 teams and all $25 of your total allocation budget. Let me know if anyone has any questions.
-
Congratulations to Bret for absolutely destroying all of us this year. I hope everyone enjoyed the season, and I'll circle back in a few weeks to let you know when arbitration starts.
-
That might be a little more fun if Bret hadn't already destroyed all of us.
-
I should probably remind everyone that the trade deadline is tomorrow night, and you can make trades up until the deadline even if they'll be processed after it passes.

The auction is going to be this Saturday, February 23 at 8:45pm ET. The random time will allow one of our drafters to make it after a prior commitment and should hopefully have everyone finished between 11pm and midnight ET. If that time won't work for you, let me know ASAP. Look forward to talking to you on Saturday!

The cutdown deadline is tonight at midnight! Be sure you cut everyone you don't want to keep heading into the auction. At a minimum, you'll need to have $1 available for every open roster spot up to 40.
