It'll be sometime in mid-to-late March. Enough time for all free agents to have signed with a new team and allowing for most of spring training to pass and less chance of injuries happening post draft.

When will be the draft day? I'm a university student at the moment and don't have any lecture on Monday.

I'd be happy with starting at 10pm on a weekday or 11pm at weekends (5pm cst) Anything earlier works fine for me. That's based on a 3-hour session of which we'd need at least 2 judging by what I've read. The problem then is the 2nd session on Sunday in NA would be Monday morning in S Korea. I don't know how Korean working weeks are but I assume this would be difficult for ufo. The solution then would be split it over 2 Saturdays if everyone can cope with a week inbetween...

I think starting the draft in around 4 p.m. CST will be the most feasible option for us. Starting later than that would be too big a burden for Robot.

Reasonable estimations Robot. A weekend day, during the day, would be a pretty normal draft time. Would it give you and Ufo any respite if we started the draft earlier or later during normal NAmerica daytime hours? Seoul is 15 hours ahead of CST, so if we had it at 3 pm CST, Ufo would just have to wake early to attend, and you would have to stay up a little late. If you are both on normal schedules, I would think a start time between 2 and 4 CST would make the most sense?

I've added a note on the sheet about how time-zones are working out looking ahead to the draft schedule. At least one of myself and ufo2869 will have to do late night / early morning.
I assume weekdays would be out of the question for everyone doing a daytime draft considering normal working hours..?
That would leave weekends during the daytime in N.America, myself into the late evening/early night hours and ufo in the morning hours in Seoul.

Thanks for filling out the Google Sheet guys, if everyone is this active during the whole season we're going to have quite the league!

My time zone will be definitely the biggest obstacle, I'm afraid. But there must be a way.

Good work RJ. Seems we have a little Canadian colony. Hopefully my time zone difference won't be a hindrance when it comes to setting the draft dates & times.

For all players in this league, can you please update the following file: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1w7EuMmJ1WYS54Zy68RfMs8ryApvo0ruOBAL9BNDfSl8/edit?usp=sharing
If you prefer not to, can you just add your scoring preference in the scoring pref. column?

Oh, I'll add scoring preference on there as well so we'll have it all in one sheet

Wow, we are officially full and ready to go; that's great guys! I'm thinking of putting together a quick google sheet that everyone can edit to get some basic info on each other and get to know each other. Will keep you posted. RJ

Really looking forward to the draft! I'm also in favour of Fangraph points. Looking forward to getting to know you all (and then resenting you for beating me).

I'm excited for this! I vote to go with Fangraph points, but am up for a debate.

Excellent! Lots of new teams since I last looked. Myself and RJ are looking into the league charter and will amend the settings accordingly. The current settings are pretty much all default so we will be making changes. I would also like to get a feel of which scoring system is preferred by all members. I personally have no strong preference so feel free to make your opinion known.

Looks like a couple more and the league will be set, should be fun and competitive based on the off-season interest.

Great to see all of you join, and welcome. Looking forward to learning, chatting baseball and having fun.
