I think, and correct me if I’m wrong, that Rafael Devers is the last player in the league to have been drafted at the original draft and stay on his original contract (he started at $2). He’s definitely at least tied for longest contract (and all on one team). My JRam is close, but was added by Cooly for $1 in late April 2016. When Brew cut Lindor last year, that was the 2nd longest run for a contract from the initial draft as far as I can tell. Anybody else have original/noteworthy contracts?

Around 24 hour reminder that we are drafting TOMORROW NIGHT.
I’ve heard from a few folks that making 5 pm central will be a little tight. I’ll log on at 5 to get things set up and start a zoom meeting. Actual drafting is likely to start 20-30 minutes past the hour or whenever everyone checks in/shows up.

Nate (The Process) has requested that we push the draft date to Sunday March 2. It appeared in the original messages that March 2 was okay with everyone. Any objections now to moving it accordingly?

Great listen, gentlemen. I always forget how nice Brew's voice sounds. And happy to oblige on Cooly's Soto and Uceta acquisitions. I'm hoping that a short-term strategy pivot towards slightly overpriced super utilitymen and prospects pays dividends this year.

Great conversation guys. I’d have to say my biggest pitfall was devaluing prospects in the leagues early days. I took the approach of letting everyone else chase the prospect and I’d just retool with MLB guys, but that has been difficult to maintain as the league has matured. Hence why my success was in the early years. Big takeaway though is that I’ll be nominating Kris Bubic first in the draft and watch you spend all your money!

It went through smoothly for me (although the Paydala app is janky looking as hell). Maybe need to clear the cookies on your browser or some weird IT thing like that?

Has anybody had trouble paying the league dues? It tries to open the Paydala web app and even though my location services are turned on it doesn’t think they are. Tried on phone and laptop, just wondering if anyone has found a workaround

It appears we will stick with Feb. 23 based on the messages from yesterday.
Note that roster cuts need to be made by end-of-day Jan. 31. I'll send additional reminders as we approach the date.

That India trip is going to really derail your fantasy baseball draft season, Nate!
Seems like both dates work for the folks that have responded except the Strutz (busy season) vs. Nate (India trip) conundrum. Do we want to let it all marinate another week and see where we are? My current leaning is towards keeping Feb. 23.

Would anyone here be in opposition to a draft date in late Feb/early March to accommodate the Japanese series games and to pull this draft out of the peak time? I figure that with a condensed auction, it should be much easier to pull off.
I'm eyeing Feb. 23 or March 2 as a draft date in the mid-afternoon. Let me know if you have any issues with that plan. Will currently set the proposed date on Feb. 23 in the afternoon and can flex it upon hearing any feedback.
