Wow! Bummer to see Dutchmen leave. Well let’s hope next season’s top two don’t bail out on us.
-
On that note, we are now going to be needing a new owner for Dutchmen who has decided to move on as well. Let me know if anyone has anyone interested! Thank you!
-
We are also now able to welcome our second new member! Please welcome Joey as the new owner of Berkley's Army! Thanks to everyone!

I've Got the Runs!'s trade block has been updated!

Welcome to the league!
-
We officially have our first new owner! Taking over Midwest Swing is Jaydee! Welcome to the league!
-
Midwest and Berkeley have been filled! Hope to have the new owners in place tomorrow and will put a quick intro for each once they’re added in. Thanks to everyone!
-
One last thing then I'll stop inundating you with emails. As of right now we have two open teams, but I still want to confirm those who voted the $50 option/didn't vote are interested in continuing. If you could either post here, or message me I would greatly appreciate. I am hopeful we don't lose anyone else because it has been a really good league overall and want to continue with everyone!
-
Alright so it's time to make an executive decision so we can move forward with getting spots filled and get going with arb. So, for 2019 we are going to go with $20 FGPTS league, with a $10 entry on the side to LeagueSafe (will discuss this later) with the winner taking all. Right now we have to replace Midwest and Berkley and I will start working on that process, or if you have any nominations for their spots let me know and we can talk. I thank everyone for their help!

Choo-We will have to agree to disagree on that point. Go-Go is right, all of this would have been avoidable if not for the price increases, but this is where we are.
Everyone has to do what's best for them, I understand that, I just disagree with the execution in this case. I'll play $20, $50, I don't really care as long as we move forward with rosters intact.
-
I go to bed with everyone getting along and when I wake up the shit has hit the fan and is all over the room. This is why I can't have nice things.
-
It always sucks to lose a good owner in a long term league. A lot of this has more to do with Ottoneu upping their prices. I just left another league where I came in second.
-
I can say that while I was originally for the idea, after reading how the payouts work I just don’t think it was worth it compared to doing the $20 then winner take all for the $10 extra we are doing on the side. Not sure if that matters but just my two cents on it
-
So back on the voting...hate to do another vote, but it seemed like we had enough interest to straight convert to $50 (but as is)? I know I was a vote to start fresh for the sole reason of level playing field, but I would stick at a $50 league with current rosters. Just curious if we need to put that on the table?
Don’t throw stuff at the guy introducing another option!
-
Thanks Choo. I’m in a couple of no money leagues that they doubled the price on and would rather consolidate to one $50 league. If this one voted to go $50, then I’d consider it. But we didn’t and that’s fine. I just didn’t think anyone would be a jerk about it.
-
(Let’s all be friendly)
-
Honestly waspers, Midwest could easily get back this offseason because he has so many tradebale assets

The jerk move is to abandon a team THAT much over the cap and then essentially give a childish ultimatum of 'if we don't redraft I'm out'. Unbelievably poor form. And go take a gander at the standings the last 3 years. It appears your lone good season has grossly overinflated your managerial self esteem.
-
Wow, I never considered you a jerk, but now we all know. Maybe you can do better next year. I’ll be rooting for you.
-
If only I had loaded up on salary then took my ball and went home maybe I could have finished 2nd like you Midwest. If I had the epic collapse you did the last month I'd be too embarrassed to return as well.
-
Thanks Swanson. Middlesboro, sorry my team is better than yours. Do better next time.
-
Midwest I hate to hear it but appreciate you letting us know. Don’t worry with arb, once we have a new owner in place they can start fresh from that point.
-
Can't wait to see who wants to take over a team $260+ over the cap.
-
Like I said before, I’m looking for a $50 league, so I’m out. Thanks, it’s been fun. I will participate in the allocation process if you need. I know it’s damaging to a league to have a team skip arb.
-
I haven’t voted but it doesn’t matter to me

I appreciate everyone who has been in the league and have really enjoyed it considering it has consistently been active and friendly, so I am hopeful we can move forward finding only the replacement for Berkley and all will be well.
-
Looks like we are still waiting on two votes, however based on the voting it technically won’t matter. So far the public voting is 5-2, and I’ve had one vote sent to me in private message for Option 2 which makes it 6-2. If it matters that’s how I would also vote putting it at 7-2 for the current vote. So we need to have two discussions. First if those of you who voted for Option 1 are okay moving forward with the arrangement, and second if those who haven’t voted are okay doing the same
-
Option 2 is cool with me.
-
Option 2 of course
-
One.
-
Option 1
-
Option 2 for me as well.

Give me the deuce.
-
Option 2 for me, please.
-
Alright so let’s do this. Let’s just vote on the two options basically presented. Option 1: $50 league and start fresh Option 2: $20 league with $10 money pot outside Ottoneu and not starting fresh. Let’s try to have everyone’s vote by end of weekend at the latest. Thanks!
-
Also, my team is going to lose like everyone but 8 people with how shitty it is set up, so I mean I guess I get wanting to completely reset but it just seems highly inefficient/unfair to others considering it is a dynasty format building across seasons. I think my vote goes for Go-Go's suggestion of $20 plus $10 to LeagueSafe (just FYI it's essentially an escrow service to hold money so that you all don't give me monies and I buy cake for myself)
-
Those wanting to restart from scratch want everyone to be on level playing ground since money is involved if I am understanding correctly, so would a year or two of the $20 league fee + $10 on the side then maybe jump to the $50 league give everyone enough of a chance to build toward that type of league? Just throwing out ideas cause it seems like we have a good group. I hate to lose that.

I am game for either the $50 league or paying $10 on the side whichever would be best for everyone. I am not looking to start from scratch for much of the same reasons already stated. I might have been willing to do something like that if it were year 10 or higher and had become boring but not year 4. But in the end I will do whatever the majority of the league wants.

Would anyone NOT return for a $20 league, throw in $10 on the side, and keep rosters as is?
-
I like to see the Muncys and Corbins and Sotos make unexpected contributions to their teams and enable their owners to spend elsewhere going forward--it's what makes keeper leagues more interesting. If we redraft, however, those players immediately become fair-/over-valued and teams lose that inexpensive asset. When that happens I find the league dynamics revert to average or worse and it's just not as much fun--and it takes a year or two to re-establish the same level of interesting rosters.
-
I like to see due diligence and luck rewarded. 😁
-
I too am okay with $20 league and $10 LeagueSafe payout (whatever that is) to add a prize amount, but I do not want to start from scratch. My reasoning isn't because I think my team is in a position to win or anything, but it would mean all the planning and effort of the past seasons was for naught. And I do not like the idea of any team having found a diamond-in-the-rough or previously undervalued player seeing said player's cost skyrocket now because of a redraft.
-
I have no problem with going the $20 league route and then $10 LeagueSafe route if we just wanted to add a little money on it. I’m confused about the starting fresh thing.
-
I think Go-Go's idea could be a nice compromise to the money issue.
-
I’m also fine just going to the $20 level and leaving it as-is if that is preferred. I’m just confused by the desire to start new if we went to $50 and would be curious to know why that would be preferred by those who are wanting to go that direction.
-
So still trying to work through this honestly. I am completely for going to the $50 level, but I hasn’t really expected the desire to start over from scratch as I’m not sure what that solves. Everyone has been on the same playing field for the last 3 seasons, even seeing a big reversal in standings and a late second-half charge by Dutchmen. I’m up for voting on things as normal, but I can be put in the class that is fine with money league but continuing with the league as-is roster-wise.
