Hello, is Greg Holland back?'s trade block has been updated!
-
Uhhh what? How was Verlander available???
-
NP, Launch Angle. Very pleased we got the league started. Thanks for all your help. Best wishes to you.
-
I've added a few too many players. Feel free to go shopping on my team and send offers.
-
Sorry, I'm an idiot. I *did* actually check draft results, as I didn't remember who signed Trout. But they cut off so you can't see him on that page. I was thrown off by the "add (C)" in transactions. My bad all around, and $5 off is far less than you deserve for agreeing to relinquish the (very) strong team you'd built. Thanks for all your good work to get this thing going!!

FYI: before the draft i said 2018 teams would get a $5 rebate on 1 player drafted from their former team. First Fantasy chose Berrios. I chose Trout.
-
I’ve checked with everyone. Friday will be th first day of our season! Best wishes, everyone.
-
First player chosen in draft. Check out draft results.
-
I'm sure I'm being dense here, but how did Holland's Back end up with Mike Trout?

Ahhh, if we have seven all we have to do is role percentile dice while assigning each team a 14% range and having a roll of 99 and 100 being a reroll.

What if there were 4 or 5 teams tied? Now we're getting deep into the weeds, though you could handle those two with a 20-sided die. 7 teams would be it's own mess, probably just draw names out of a hat at that point.
-
Yeah haven't you ever played Dungeons and Dragons?

@Huneterpencer, one could utilize a 6 sided die assigning 1,2 ... 3,4 ... 5,6 to each team.
-
and it begins
-
That's good, I was trying to figure out where you were going to find a 3-sided coin if more than two teams were tied on a player...
-
Launch, you were right. looks like the coin flips are automatic. that's easy.
-
I had thought it automatically coin-flips internally, but I could be wrong. Friday is good for setting lineups.
-
My vote is for Friday, I thought that was the plan coming out of the initial auction so my free agent planning has been based on that.
-
Agree with Lobsta, I vote for Friday and the weekend series.
-
I also prefer tonight

For me I don't care if we do it tonight or Friday but I prefer tonight.
-
By my count, we have over 60 free agents, which will resolve by Thursday night. I think we should shoot for setting lineups on Friday. This allows us to catch the weekend series, while most owners will have between 25-40 players to play.

Yeah, I'd like to hear from the others before we set a start date. I'm open to Friday or Saturday. A few owners seemed to suggest we needed time to set our rosters.
-
Well hot-diggity-dog, let's get it going. All good to start tonight
-
I didn't see anyone disagree with starting Friday but I also didn't see the commish deliver the final word that we were moving up the date from June 1st. What's the final word?
-
so i can set my lineup tonight?
-
I've never seen a False Start Penalty in baseball....do they throw flags?
-
enjoy first place while you can because you will never see it again :)
-
All is good-- I'm sure we'll figure out lineup accidents and coin flips. It's about to get crazy come 4:56 tonight. Can't wait!!
-
Since we haven't started playing, any ties in the auctions will be decided by a coin flip. As commish, I'll use a online coin-flipper, document the flip (snap it), and respond to the league. Best wishes.
-
Guys, I'm literally the dumbest person. The other night I was trying to organize my roster but instead I set my lineup. If there is an easy way to wipe those points that would be great. Also I'm willing to not set my line up after we start for a certain number of days as penalty. I have un-set my lineup as of right now. Sorry guys.

Go to 'PLAYERS', search for a specific player, go to their page, and click the green 'START AUCTION' button under their name.
-
Sorry to be a pain but how do I start an auction on a player? When I go to the auction section I don't see a way to bid on a player that isn't already being bid on (Miller).
-
Let the auctions begin. I’ll address any problems as they arise.
-
Waiting for the gun to sound from the commish...
-
I'm ready to suction some players too.. ok if we go ???
-
That makes sense Eggs, agreed, Friday seems more reasonable.
-
I think the answer would be you can't win every auction you participate in so it may take more than 1 round. I'm short 6 starters for example. However I'm anxious too and would be great is we can start Friday. That's two auction time periods. If I don't have a full starting roster by then.. I'll live... I'm on board.
-
"If" we were to start auctions this afternoon, the 48 hr turnaround would put the first rounds of FA's on our rosters by Teus. As most teams have a starting roster, I don't see why we couldn't move opening day for Roster Setting to this Wed. The 31st was always just a placeholder.
