• I didn't participate in the draft in this league last year, but did in the AAA draft. It happened a couple of times most notably with Bautista. Especially when another person puts the player up for bid they don't make it the easiest to know if it was the real Bautista or a random MiLB guy with the same name. I would definitely cancel it in a case of mistaken identity, but just don't be a dick.

• We're going to Pennsylvania to see my folks next week. Will be driving back on draft day. As for multiple players with the same name, it's too hard to figure out who is trying to "trick" the rubes and who is just stupid and nominated the wrong Josh Bell. So we operate under the buyer beware principle for all cases. But you should feel free in the draft discussion to call out the idiot who noms the wrong guy. We've never had a problem with anyone doing it intentionally in the past.

• One question about the draft: Last year in AAA, we had some dicks nominating same-name players abusing the massive ottoneu database. I can't think of a specific example, but for instance maybe like there's two Jose Bautistas and someone nominated the pitcher one from 1969 and tricked people into bidding on them. Hope you fuckers don't do anything like that, and if you do that it would be fixed by the commish. Not that it'll affect me anyways because I'm incredibly intelligent.

• I probably won't even attend the draft, but I do agree that not being able to set aside 2-4 hours at any point for weeks at a time is pretty fucking selfish on your part. You can call it a diversion, and maybe it is for you, but this league isn't about you. It's about 12 teams figuring it the fuck out. This draft is going to fly by needing only around 200 players instead of the nearly 500 that we needed in the initial 8 hour behemoth. Carve some fucking time out for Christ's sakes.

• No one prefers a March 4 draft. We did work together, and that's the date everyone can make. So be it. I don't care if people can't draft in late March because they're on vacation, they're getting married, or they plan on picking their nose for a week. This is a diversion. Also, we'll all be subject to the same disadvantage. Also, we're not building entire teams from scratch, so the draft isn't as important as it would be for new or non-keeper leagues.

• Oops, sorry about the February draft date, I had a brain fart. Fixed now. We're set for 3/4 at 1PM (Eastern). As for trades, otto rules say they are frozen from the keeper deadline until after the draft. I assume the pending trade that was agreed to before the deadline will still post after the processing period. If not, I'll figure out how to push it through.
