Oh, I'm out from March 12th through the 22nd. Be in Honduras checking in on a project we're funding to build school libraries so, won't have much free time
-
i fig your ink that weeknight mid march is best.
-
Should we start fig your ink out a draft date?

will the draft be super buggy this year?
-
Think Bingo was being sarcastic. At this point, think everyone has their own prices on players. Draft will be different
-
Maybe that guy thinks $10 is a fair price for Solak. Hard to call that collusion without more evidence.
-
amongst which owners?
-
is This the part where we start yelling about collusion?
-
marquez great boy low candidate with the new ball
-
Always good to give up the three best players in a 3 for 3 trade.
-
I've got a lot of players I'm probably going to cut. Whit Merrifield, Nick Senzel, Christian Walker, Kyle Seager, Adam Eaton, Mike Yastrzemski, Julio Teheran, Drew Pomeranz, Jose Alvarado, Colin Poche, Brent Honeywell and possibly Syndergaard (haven't decided yet). Holding on to a $90 Mike Trout is really really hard
-
Altuve, Cano, Segura, Pence, and Samardj are about to be set free from the 'boomers

i actually cut my players, i am the most trans owner in this lee
-
I like this transparency in potential cuts. For me, make offers for Flowers, Smoak, O'Hearn, Didi, Camargo, Hicks, Heyward. Burnes, Jackson, and Nelson
-
I feel you Fodder. I'm probably cutting Senzel, Mondesi & Pomeranz myself. Way too many teams in this league overpay for mediocre players & cap themselves out
-
love too target travis darnaud in trades,,

Wanted Chapman, d'Arnaud & Bummer. Would've cut 4 of the guys traded away anyway. Plus, maybe I wanted Puig to guarantee he'll be in the draft & hope I can get him at a cheaper rate? Where is y'alls imagination? More uproar over my moves than the Kershaw, Freeman, Vazquez trade package at the deadline last year.
-
i like to trade for guys just to cut them a week later
-
Why trade for half of those guys, then? This wreaks of collusion and not the first time we've had a problem with this owner.
-
makes your trade with PM all the more bewildering

Intend to cut: Rich Hill, Jose Quintana, Deivi Garcia, Scott Barlow, Xander Bogaerts, Shin-Soo Choo, Michael Brantley, Tommy Murphy, Yaisel Puig & Andrew Benintendi. If you want one of them, make a competitive offer. Otherwise, will simply take the cash savings and move on.
-
Bogaerts is available
-
Aroldis Chapman is also available too
-
JD Martinez is available. Mike Trout is not
-
cant wait to draft scott barlow whoever that is
-
I'll get my arbitration done this afternoon.
-
Go ahead and put it off til the last minute for all I care, at least we know you're alive enough to defend your inspired 4th place finish. As for my fellow commish, who knows where he is.

Yes. Thank you. I don't know why some are getting their panties in a wad. Deadline is the 14th. It makes no difference if its done early or late, as long as it gets done. As to being competitive my team seemed to finish ahead of yours.

I mean, don't they have another week?

Hey Ian, what are we gonna do about the two people that can't be bothered to do arb? This is ridiculous. This is supposed to be the most competitive tier and it's absolutely atrophying due to non-competitive owners.

That is not a stupid idea. You should do that.
-
I second everything you said, commish
-
Lastly, a question. A ton of my life is on slack these days. If I were to make a channel for the league and the one below it, to facilitate real-time communication, planning, haggling, trash talking etc., and to make it so that I don't have to take over someone's team when a commish is needed, would people be open to joining and moving league business there? Feel free to tell me this is a stupid idea. -Ian

Also, I just checked the constitution (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1XFD5jEOf_Qak0EQuvKIEGlErQSUNgaW4BDh62Ne1IpM), and it says that I have the sole power to change it. Cool! What I am going to put in is some prohibitions on hate speech and bullying, which we have foolishly never codified before. I have a high confidence in everybody here's ability to abide by those guidelines, once they exist. -Ian
-
Also, like, two people haven't done their arb yet, and one is JT, who I'll go yell at in our slack now to do his, and the other was the fourth place finisher last year, so maybe not a weak link. We're good. -Ian
-
Well, I happen to like living in a world where even morons get coddled, so I do generally vote Democrat, except when I'm voting Working Families. And the Spartans? Their contemporaries thought they were cool and all, but they had like zero impact on western civilization by comparison to the more coddled Greek city states. They sucked. Utter mediocrities.
What I don't like is chasing down new owners so no, we will not be codifying a rule to kick people out for not assigning arb. -Ian
-
OTSS Only The Strong Survive. If you want to coddle a bunch of morons that have no business competing in such a prestigious league then go ahead, vote democrat, but if you want a league of Spartan warriors that make it fun and challenging and don't take shit from their inferiors then begin the filtration process. This is a strong league of GOOD people precisely bc I have the courage to tell people to frig off.
-
sandy, not every one has 20 hours of free time each day like you do
-
Sure, we can formalize that just as soon as you stop running off owners with your shitty personality. In case you haven't noticed, we have more of a problem with retention than new owners clamoring to get in.

Can we formalize a rule that if you don't allocate you lose your team? This is a fundamental part of the league and something that every team should already have done. You can make changes before the deadline so no reason other than apathy to not even have a first stab done yet.
-
November 14 is the deadline for arbitration. It only takes a couple of minutes. If you're not planning on doing it, please just tell us now so we can punt you into a nearby dumpster and find a replacement.

Just emailed you Ian, renewed back in July. I'll get my arbitration done now so I don't forget like last year. Here we go!
-
Welcome Jim, I expect you will be a fantastic addition to a great league. Good luck this winter, fellas and ladies.
-
Most of you have a renewal date of January 1, 2020. Why don't we go ahead and get those renewals done before then, so we don't have to deal with late abandons? Once you have, send me the bill (imalino@gmail.com). I can do venmo, paypal, or mailed check. -Ian
-
Please welcome the new promotions: Jim Turvey, the Triple-A winner, into Longo's Mohawk, and nomo, the Triple-A runner up, into the Buttheads.
Arbitration is now open, so get your arbitration done. Reminder that you must assign at least one dollar to each team, and must assign all your available dollars. -Ian
