I hope everyone is having a good morning and off to having a productive day....but I’m not sure any of us are having as good of a morning as 😴. Apparently, while the rest of the league was 😴, Andy picked up a 27 yr old, 5.2 pts/inning SP that went for 38 pts in 6 innings just yesterday. And to top it off, what did 😴 give up for such a great pitcher....nothing. Nothing?! How could this happen? Surely he had to give up something. Oh it did cost him something. $1. Very well. Goo

Rationale: Extends the season for many teams, creates more contenders, gives more teams things to care about during the season. Also, things are getting a little tiresome here and we need to mix it up a bit.

Announcement (cont'd): As an added wrinkle, we will be implementing a relegation system. So the teams that finish in 4th in the top two leagues will each move down a league, and the teams that finish first in the bottom two leagues will move up a league. There will be payouts for division winners and playoff winner, but structure and amounts are currently TBD. The higher divisions will have better payouts, just not sure exact numbers yet.

Announcement: Beginning next season, we are going to move to a weekly head to head format AND we are going to move to divisional play. There will be 3 divisions. They will be determined by using the final rankings of 2018 and segmenting into the top 4, middle 4 and bottom 4. The final 2 weeks of next season will be playoffs. The playoffs will consist of the 3 division winners and one wild card team (non-division-winner with the best record).

It's a solid point which leads me to this. I have talked separately to a few people about a H2H league. Basically exactly what we are doing now but you have an opponent each week and you either win or lose. Top 4 records make the playoffs and then winner of that is winner of the league. It makes the game a little more luck dependent but I think it would lengthen interest and the competition window of some teams. Would anyone prefer that?
