Looks like we’re losing Speedwagon/Marc as an owner. Pour one out for the 2-time champion that’s been with us since we started this league in 2014.
If you know anyone that’s interested, send them my way.

All payments have now been sent, congrats again to the winners. Arbitration has started for the early birds, deadline is mid-November.
I hope you’re all staying but if you intend on leaving the league, the sooner you let us know the better. Not allocating arbitration dollars is grounds for getting kicked out as I presume you’re uninterested in continuing.

Hats off to Amos. Hell of a finish

Yes.....Amos of Otisville raised his own paradox with the "let's make them memorable" since he's got more of a lead than the Dodgers. But there is a scramble for the runners-up!

Not much of a race for first, but only 500 points between second and seventh.

Two weeks left in the race, let's make them memorable.

Good luck to the contenders, looks like it will be a pretty good race for all the money spots.

Zach Davies was going for it yesterday. Gave up 3 HRs in first inning! I was disappointed to see that nobody had him rostered, let alone starting. He managed to "recover" though and ended with -35.57 in 3.2 IP.

Apparently Josh Hamilton did too, in 2012. That was 63.5 points and probably the most points in a game when ottoneu was around to score those points in. On the pitching side, I'm going to guess Scherzer's 17K no-hitter in 2015 is the highest in the ottoneu era with 100.6 points.
-
Thanks. Joe Alcock (I’m old) hit 4 homers and a double once.
-
It predates ottoneu (as does the Shields game now that I think of it), but the winner is probably Shawn Green on May 23, 2002. 4 HR, a single, and a double, which would be a total of 68 points. That's the most total bases in a game and tied for the most HR, so it's tough to beat unless there's somebody with 3 HR and a bunch of walks in an extra inning game. For pitchers it's probably either Kerry Wood's 20K game (104 points) or Joe Oeschger's 26-inning effort (171 points) if that's allowed.
-
In light of Trevor Story last night, can you find the most points scored in a game? Thanks
-
Cool info. At least once a year I threaten to rename my teams Infinity ERA.
-
This is a fun rabbit hole. The worst I've managed to find by total negative score is James Shields on 8/7/2010: -75.6 points over 4 innings. Second place was Jeremy Guthrie on 5/25/15: -72.2 points in one inning of work. So you can do worse than Eovaldi, but not by much. And honorable mention to Dylan Bundy's gem on 5/8/2018: -68.2 points without recording an out. Maybe there's an even worse game out there, though - I just looked at famously bad starts and most HR allowed in a game.
-
Indeed. I'd guess it's fairly hard for a pitcher to stay in the game long enough to get past -30 or so. Eovaldi gave up 5 HR in less than 2 innings to get to that line. I mean, I respect Cora for having faith in his guy, but you'd think most managers would realize a pitcher didn't have it tonight after the first 4.
-
@Raisin, Berrios came out of the gates this season for me with an incredibly efficient -26.63 points in 0.1 IP, and I was lucky enough to have him starting. You certainly have me curious on worst game lines now.

Almost worth it if I could also get credit for the no-hitter Detmers threw when I had him on the bench (actually, I'd still be in the red - the no-hitter was only 67 points). My start/sit decisions on SP have been a mixed bag, to say the least.
-
Hey Raisin……. Maybe you can get fhe Commish to make an adjustment and get Eovaldi in your lineup. It’s worth a try, no?
-
Eovaldi with -69.97 points today (on my bench, but still). That's got to be some sort of record.

See setting below Position Players above your lineup……set the slider to the left of this setting to on or off:

I don’t see anything in settings to change and don’t think I’m losing my mind, but it appears Ottoneu automatically benches your players who are not in the starting lineup. I’ve noticed it before but never looked into it. For example, I saw Kyle Tucker wasn’t starting but was going to leave him in lineup, or else I would’ve replaced him w someone else. Today, he was benched because he did not start and hits a HR so wanted to see if there were any insights?
-
That is indeed how it's set up.
