Just cut that $28 Snell already Ducklings
-
Have had a lot of interest in Pressly the last few days. Iโm open to moving him, but am also happy to take him into the season with me. Shoot me an offer/message if youโre interested in him!
-
So did Correa actually sign with the Twins? This process has been crazy!
-
This team name change is electric.
-
Southside spends 2.5 years acquiring prospects only to trade him when they just get into the big leagues....that being said I can't make fun of him because other than Vinnie & Vargas I don't think he will miss who he traded/got back. I'm excited to have a 12th team gunning for a win this year.

Bear Out, Ducklings In
[REUTERS] After a massive trade that saw its namesake franchise player shipped out to South Sound along with six others for seven MLB rookies and prospects, I'm Alonso-me I Could Cry has been renamed the Long Island Spring Ducklings. Team president IchiroSamba described the move as a much-needed infusion of young talent as IAICC failed to advance past the semifinal round of the '22 playoffs, and warned remaining veterans that he will not turn down a good offer

Wild and crazy night at Rob's Favorite Winter Meetings 2022!
-
Mariner fans were hoping for one of the big four SS free agents, but got Kolton Wong instead. Maybe they should ask the Mets for some money.
-
The Mets definitely print money. I was hoping there was a JV back to the Tigers, but this stinker of a 2022 killed any hopes.
-
Wow! DeGrom goes to the Rangers. Are they printing money in TX?
-
If any of you need a proxy for arbitration for MIA owners in other leagues, I am happy to help. Let me know if you need a pinch hitter!
-
Reminder to get in arbitration, if you are doing it last minute please drop me a note so i don't bug you.
-
Letโs go Astros!!
-
If the Astros werenโt cheaters I would root for them, but alas
-
No problem with owners spending their money as they see fit, but a top-4 payroll does not seem to fit the bill as the unheralded underdog. Is there a way that Houston and Philly can both lose the World Series? :)
-
I respect Daveo and his spending sprees, they got the money, not their fault for spending it. Also Ethan and I helped Harper with his negotiations.
-
Speaking of payrolls...what a world we live in where the Mets (at least according to spotrac.com) have the highest payroll. That spot used to always be reserved for the other team in NYC.
-
The hard part with rooting for the Phillies is that they are not exactly an underdog team. They have the fourth highest payroll in the league. They seem like more of a under performing high-salary team that got hot at the right time.
-
Give me Nicky C and the boys......Houston is trash
-
Despite having zero connection to Houston, I can still find lots of reasons to root for the Astros, starting with 1. They're not the Phillies. But also Dusty, the young core of Yordan+Tucker+Peรฑa, and I like to see greatness rewarded.
(Though as a Mets/Jets fan, I'll echo South Sound re. the Yankees/Pats dynasties)
-
Absolutely. They hate us โcause they ainโt us.
-
I expect that most people like to root against the perennial villains, but would love to have "their" team be the perennial winner!
-
As a New Englander, Mini-C, I can tell you that the answer to both of your queries is an emphatic yes. Personally, Iโm with you. Sports are better with perennial villains and losers/underdogs.
-
I saw something earlier today that the majority of America was rooting for the Phillies. I didnโt click on the article to learn who or when they got the info for the poll, but I imagine most outside of Houston will be rooting for Phillies.
Just for conversation sakeโฆweโre people tired of the Yankees when they win 3 straight? Or Tom Brady and the Patriots in the Super Bowl nearly every year? I donโt care either way because I think my Stros have put together an amazing run.
-
Will the Astros sweep the playoffs? Is anybody not from Houston rooting for the Astros? Cheating aside, it is getting a little old to have them in the World Series every year.
-
Now that the Mets are out, I definitely can't root for Dodgers/Phils/Padres/Braves or for Yankees/Astros, so I'm jumping squarely on the Mariners bandwagon. Also have a soft spot for the Guardians.
-
As a long-suffering Mariners fan, this has been an incredible year. I was really just thrilled that they ended the playoff drought, but if I were to dream, it would Mariners beating the Dodgers in 7 games, with series wins against the HOU and NYY along the way. An incredible longshot, I know, but I can dream, right?
-
Guardians fan here, so enjoying every minute of postseason baseball. Had no expectations for the team coming into the season, so this is all gravy for me. Most Iโve enjoyed a team in years!
Also, congrats to Lima for the absolute bloodletting you laid on me in the finals. Well done!
-
What you got against the Astros? I am a Houstonian so of course Iโm biasedโฆso Iโm gonna say Stros vs Braves, astros in 5.
-
As long as its not LAD, HOU or NYY I'll be happy. Give me a Phillies Guardians WS, Phillies in 6.
-
Who are you all rooting for in the playoffs? I know that some of us may still have our favorite teams in the playoffs, but if not who are you bandwagoning?
-
Nice work Lima, and great season guys!
-
Congrats, Lima!!
-
Thanks guys but I can't take full credit. Remember my roster was loaded when I took it over for the last third of the season (thanks to that cheater Snoopy)

Great Job Lima....reminder to all to get legal by the end of the week.
-
Congrats to LIMA, Kikuchi, and Alonso for winning the hardware! And to Sadrigal for winning all of the last day, mid-level prospect auctions. Thanks for a great season!
-
Congrats LIMA on an amazin playoff run!! And big ups to the entire league, it's been great to play a full season with everyone here.
-
Yeah up to a couple days ago me and CRB could enjoy a little bit of a moral victory knowing that we could hang with LIMA in a hypothetical final. I think that ship has sailed now.
-
The title probably needs some work though. :)
-
For those bored with the championship round, the Battle for Third Place has much more drama to offer!
-
Thanks man!!! This is a bloodbath
-
Kikuchi...I'm getting second hand embarrassment since you beat me. STEP IT UP!
-
SURE COULD MAN
-
Kikuchi could use those 2 extra starts he forgot to use.
-
What, no Brian Jordan? ๐
-
Collect them all!
-
Wow, big run on Jordans on the wire today!
-
Congratulations to LIMA and Kikuchi on advancing to the championship! It was an incredible run by LIMA this week and a nailbiter matchup between Kikuchi and Alonso. Good games!
-
At least you know it now Rob
-
I like the new ideas, but I learned yesterday that my opinion doesn't matter because I'm old and only have a limited amount of time left to watch baseball.
