Actually have Santana for this year lol so I don't need to be nuts
-
Padres are the favorites for Hector Olivera, that would suck for Middlebrooks (doing great so far this spring) or Gyorko (short leash if he struggles). The player will be added to the fantasy player pool when he signs with a team
-
Kang has a lot of power, that may end up being a steal
-
John Jaso next in line. Wood has no catcher, go crazy
-
Holy Crap 8$ on Kang! Wood throwing them dollar bills around.
-
I thought $4-5 would get him but went to $9
-
I thought I had a chance with a $3 bid on Kang, I'm poor need to sell someone bad
-
See, I like Robertson more, but I understand the move. On a side note, I hate whoever was as crazy as me and went high for Kang lol I was hoping for a bargain but obviously wanted him bad
-
I liked Odorizzi a lot too. It was tough to part with him. And Lackey could be real strong for another year or two. But yeah I needed a legit closer and Robertson fit the bill. Trades are great fun.
-
ACTIVE LEAGUE. Another trade, whos the winner? I love Robertson but I needed to free some cap room and I think Odorizzi can break out...
-
That's fair and I appreciate you giving us the chance to explain rather than just vetoing it and saying nothing. I could really see myself regretting this trade next year when I have to cut Hamilton because I can't afford him and Cron hits 25 bombs after taking Josh Hamilton's at bats with Stealing Wood only paying 3$ for him.
-
I see why you may not like it. But I'd make the argument D'Arnaud isn't Peterson and I really like Cron. We'll see, whatever happens I'm on with it. I like the trade but can see why you wouldn't
-
Im not a Hamilton fan, i just think he couldve ask for more, like throw in Carpenter. I wanted to make sure Stealing Wood understood the trade and he didnt make a mistake, I'll approve it and cheer for Bailey
-
Hamilton also only hit .200/.254/.257 in the second half and could completely bomb next year. Bailey is likely undervalued: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/homer-bailey-and-his-sexy-splitter/.
-
Boise, i wont cancel the trade, thats why it is up to the rest of the owners. i understand that you needed $13 to make the deal for Hamilton has much more value than Bailey, 8 rounds draft position between the two makes it very lopsided in my opinion, Peterson is a good prospect but so is d'Arnaud, those two cancel each other...lets see what happens, good luck to both
-
Hamilton is essentially a one-tool player. Quoting the relevant rotographs depth chart piece: His speed can’t be doubted but the rest of his offensive game can be. "At this point given his rate stats, lack of power and speed, Hamilton is Rajai Davis, only swapping about 20 points of AVG for 20 steals."
-
Boise needed the $15 in order to pay Hamilton and d'Arnaud's salaries and you sent that to him. Cron, Peterson and Chacin have no impact, basically you are giving up Billy Hamilton rank#51 overall for Bailey #176 overall, and on top of that you are lending him the money to be able to pay his salary. The trade will go through unless 7 owners vote it...
-
Secondly it's my personal opinion that vetoes should only be used in the case of outrageously lopsided trades or obvious collusion of which this is neither. You shouldn't just veto a trade when you think someone lost the trade and this is because reasonable people can disagree on the valuations of players.
-
I am at the salary cap limit so to make this trade leagal, Stealing Wood needed to send at least 13$ to me. I would like to point out you can't evaluate this trade in a vacuum, Steeling Wood has 130$ of cap space and almost no one to spend it on, so the 15$ dosen't really have all that much value for him.
-
I meant to send 5, so it worked for salary cap I think. Not quite sure
-
Before vetoing the Boise Boats trade please explain it. I think the $15 went the other way by mistake. There is no way that Hamilton +$15 = Homer Bailey. If there is other player with value in that trade its d'Arnaud , making it even more lopsided...

2 catcher spots: 2 spots for 162 games, never played this format before, i guess you start two catchers only if you are behind the pace for 162 total...
-
Mrad Biller's trade block has been updated!
-
oops ok. my bad. thanks.
-
It's been there at leats last year. You still only get 162 games for the catcher position in total so you can't start two C's all year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though.
-
I just noticed this is a two catcher set-up... Did I just totally miss that before the draft? Or is that new?
