Time to sign Puig

Itโs also not โpennies.โ If youโve got questions about Eloyโs ability to fully recover for next year and into the future (I donโt know anything about recovery from a ruptured pectoral tendon), it doesnโt seem low enough to get outraged over. Maybe you can do better for Eloy, or maybe Kevin is the only one of us who knows heโs playing for next year.

The talk here is Sox will use Vaughn in LF and Zack Collins as DH . Although Jay Bruce may be available shortly
-
Iโm just trying to be league villain.
-
Kevin is to Charles what Newman is to Seinfeld . Thwarting him at every turn .
-
I can agree with that Mikey.
-
I agree that it's low, but that's why you make offers; people's idea of players' values often differ wildly.
-
Nimmo is a cut at $14 and Hendricks is not worth Eloy straight up so yes low ass offer and im sure anyone will agree with me. Also even with the lose Im still in better shape than most teams.
-
Brandon Nimmo and Liam Hendricks = low ball ass? discuss.
-
Im dropping my bets on the field against chuck after this injury and him stashing Eloy. His big lead just got eaten away.
-
Just dumb on his part
-
Tell me about it and Kevin already offered on him a low ball assed offer id rather hold him on the 60 day IL than trade him for pennies
-
Thatโs bad news about Eloy.

Yeah, Iโve asked about him before, but Fred doesnโt like dealing with me. He swears itโs not personal.
-
Iโm a little surprised Hader is not being traded to you.

If anyone has questionable offensive depth, Iโve got more bench pieces than I need and would move for innings eaters or RPs
-
Anyone want my young guys?
-
Tyler O'Niell for Devers ouch
-
Patrick maybe you are the one, but Mikey was saying I prompted offers I was just saying your were the only one I talked to about it.
-
I just think your delusional when it comes to your players values
-
Pot calling the kettle black you won't move any of your young guys but yet you say your going for it

Charles maybe Iโm the one trying to get Soto from Mikey? I probably should be. And remember, Fred traded away Devers right before he went on a 5-month streak of 8.5 ppg; heโs never going to admit screwing that up.

As stands , a 5.5 ppg guy with only 3b eligible who will be 29$ assuming no arbitration, is not a keeper. Now if he is 7.0ppg again ,or plays SS that changes things
-
The issue isn't whether or not Devers is good, very good, excellent. We all know he is , the issue is 3b only eligible and depth available at that position. Bryant, Arenado, Turner, Chapman, Donaldson Mostakas were all in this year's draft
-
If you were going for it,you should be after high contract vets with your cheaper newbies, not vice versa
-
I offered Devers and carlson for robert i think that's a pretty decent offer
-
You included Devers in offers for Robert and was shocked I rejected . Would be happy to post it for all to see .
-
For vlad you would probably say you want degrom, bieber, eloy and bohm right???
-
I mean I sure you hold Vlad Jr. higher than Devers, but he barely cracked 5 ppg last year at least Devers had a 7ppg season at the same age vlad came up sooooo....
-
As for Devers when did I ever say he's tremendous value? Just said i was trying to move him.
-
Now Donaldson at 7 $ , there's a deal !
-
I haven't been saying much about soto to anyone just patrick but that's because I was after Acuna.
-
Charles seems to think a $27 Devers has tremendous value. Such a deep position and while a high floor very good 5.5 ppg guy , not a keeper unless he goes off this season and or picks up another position .
-
If you are looking for an easier get than Soto, I will deal Carlos Santana for any reasonable offer. Especially if it's RP.
-
I like how Charles seems to be sparking offers for Soto...
-
Framber and now Gallen? Iโm gonna be fucked before this thing kicks off. Why did I just buy? What is life?
-
Speaking of inning eaters...

In 21 seasons after his rookie season, Greg Maddux never pitched less than 190 innings. That includes the 1994 strike year when he had 202.

I went to about 30 games that year, lived three blocks away.
-
I was at the game he went across the street in uniform and was watching on top of one the rooftops
-
You know Tom Browning is as old as I am, right? He last had a 200IP season in 1991, 30 years ago....

Geez in not too far past, every team had a so so innings eater like Tom browning or livean Hernandez

Set *

I should have wet the line to 2.5 to garner more action it seems
-
Sure. Nola, Flaherty, Wheeler...plenty of guys *could* do it, and lightening does strike. But, aside from the odd 37-year-old turning back the clock, weโre mostly listing guys who never have had 200 IP (many have topped out around 175 to 180), and hoping they do it this year even after very reduced workloads last year and in the face of the trends in SP usage. That seems unlikely.
