Bengals? I'm actually not watching. I think the weeks of hype have worn me out.

I am pretty sure Moz would feel the same way about seafood. How weird is it that he is a vegan far-right winger?
-
We all shoukd eat more sustainable seafood, as meat is murder .
-
They have walleye and perch fish fry tonight too
-
They have both golden and sour monkey in tap near me
-
Yes its somewhere in between those
-
Golden Monkey is a favorite when I'm back east. I imagine Sour Monkey must be somewhere between gueuze and trippel?
-
John Hook ,its highly refreshing beer ,and like most Belgian styles , the 9.5% is well hidden. https://victorybeer.com/beers/sour-monkey/

That article pretty much makes my case for me. But this whole discussion was worth it to be reminded “It’s like a pair of eyes. You’re looking at the umlaut, and it’s looking at you.”

I can vouch that it is a great beer. Probably my fav Fred sent.
-
I sent some to Kevin, a sour tripel
-
They made a sour Golden Monkey?! Damn, I bet that's tasty.
-
I think Husker Du are named after a Danish board game and might have come by their umlauts honestly.
-
its 8:25 am and i already know what my 4 pm beer will be...Sour Monkey by Victory

This group constantly reminds me that I dont know anything about music or musicians.
-
its Pats fault the whole umlaut discusion to mask his embarsemen of not knowing one of the best college rock legends
-
This group has the ability to go down rabbit holes like none other…

I can remember it like it was yesterday. We were drinking Löwenbräu, and when we decided to call ourselves Mötley Crüe, we put some umlauts in there because we thought it made us look European. We had no idea that it was a pronunciation thing. When we finally went to Germany, the crowds were chanting, 'Mutley Cruh! Mutley Cruh!' We couldn’t figure out why the fuck they were doing that.

Rules of thumb are easy but not perfect. Sometimes something slips through that shouldn’t. Of course I’ve ignored Motörhead (adding an umlaut to an *english* word is another “especially” category; see also BÖC) for what seems like my entire adult life so I’ll just take your word for it that this is one of those times.

sure, but what's the use of a cry for help if no one hears you scream?
-
Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, you all know what I mean
-
I'm pretty certain that the existence of Motörhead makes that a pretty poor choice.
-
I'm on players side on almost every issue this go around . I think they should do away with luxury tax and come up with a forfeit draft pic scenario for going over X amount, while also doing same for a minimum team salary . tampa ,who loves picks , would quickly come up to minimum salary by signing someone like j.d. Martinez for example . also foreign players should be part of the draft
-
And that explains why I had to look up Mould. I have a fairly strict policy of ignoring bands, and alumni of such bands, that have added an umlaut to their name. Especially if they’ve added 2. And especially if the words in their native language don’t require an umlaut.

Don’t be silly Fred. Heyman is a fully paid-for mouthpiece of the owners, and tweets like this are just part of their PR campaign to shift blame (and pressure) to the players. Will Carroll’s take: “The owner’s meetings have ended. Rob Manfred emerged from the hotel, apparently saw his shadow, and now there will be more weeks without baseball. There’s meetings Saturday, but Manfred said nothing that felt as if it would move things forward, unless you think the universal DH was the hold up.”

This news is worth two more cuts Patrick : According to Jon Heyman of MLB Network, MLB owners are prepared to "make concessions on key economic issues" in their next proposal to the MLBPA.
-
Bob was in Hüsker Dü and also in Sugar , in addition to being a solo act
-
Drew is now under budget , only three left and the clock is ticking
-
Yes,O'Neill is from.Vancouver area. Bob Mould is from Minneapolis
-
He's Canadian, too, right? Tyler O'Neill. Not Bob Mould.

I agree he’s a steal at $4–i’d have put $1 on him but Robert needed $2 even more. He’s too risky (321 Ks in 987 mlb PAs—you can do the math yourself, I just like the 3-2-1 and 9-8-7 countdowns) for me to spend $25 on him but maybe someone would.

In case nobody noticed , Tyler O'Neill hit 34 hr stole 15 in 484 at bats ,was 6.29 ppg and is 4$ salary . If thrown back would go for 25$ or more . I'm NOT looking to trade him especially needing OF myself. Please no negative math bs from you Pat , even if he regresses a full point, he's a huge value at 4$. Plus he's as strong and chiseled as Trout , just few inches shorter and fast as hell.
-
I see it now that you mention it, but that one went right past me the first time.
-
I guess no Bob Mould fans in here
-
The new set of cards is due any week now
-
Since it's looking like no spring training, when are we going to fire up the strat league again?
-
Stefania Constantini…but also curling in general! She may not be the athlete Nathan Chen or some German ski jumper is, but she also doesn’t need to bribe a bunch of Joe West types to score. Just throw the rocks.

That said, I’m actually happy to play bridge and even watch Winter Olympics (as long as I don’t think too much about how many of these performances are judged). I’d just rather not waste my time on baseball.

Fred, you think there’s anything in Max’s tweet that wasn’t already known? There aren’t any secrets about what either side wants and doesn’t want. I agree that the things the players want don’t seem outlandish…but that might be why I’m not a billionaire. The players being clear isn’t what solves this, the owners need to realize they’ll have to give something back (or the players give up). See any sign of that?

Scherzer actually tweeted a clear concise bullet points of issues they want addressed or changed ; service time, teams tanking, luxury tax/salary cap ,minimum salary, team minimum roster salaries. None if which seem outlandish to me.
-
Did he happen to mention what small but meaningful progress was? Any good news would be nice. Maybe it was the owners requesting federal mediation (because they need someone to force the owners to the table?)? Or maybe this past weekend’s twin ridiculous “stories”: “It’s all Boras’s fault!” and “Jesus imagine all the doping going on (while we’ve locked these guys out)!”?

"Given the small but meaningful amount of progress towards the end of a lockout and a new CBA, as of today I do not plan on moving this year’s keeper deadline from February 15, 2022. While I am not certain that Spring Training will be entirely spared, there is still a decent chance that Opening Day happens as scheduled. If that is the case, 6 weeks is a good pre-season draft window and any less time than that might make it hard for leagues to find time to draft."
