What an exciting finish this is turning out to be with a 1.3 point difference between second and third and between 11th and 12th. Time to pull out all the stops!
-
We have some in the pantry too—I used a tsp last week. Just checked the “best by” date: April 26 2017. It didn’t seem any worse (or better) for sitting around.

Not Vegemite, but powdered nutritional yeast. They use to sprinkle it on all their lunch and dinner dishes. Not my favorite flavor profile, but Emily (a vegetarian) LOVED the Grit, so we ate there a lot anyway.
-
You you eluding to Vegemite ? Ivr never had that but heard that is what it tastes like
-
Just kidding, they might have served the best pancakes I've ever had and will be sorely missed in Athens. Sad times.
-
Damn, how will I get food that tastes entirely of nutritional yeast, no matter what it actually is?
-
UGA alums, bad news: The Grit is closing next month.

Haha, thanks. Last two weeks scrambling is the most fun time of the season, even if I am watching from the bottom of the table.

Nice call on the $30 bid.

$8 Cheap

I am pretty excited to see who is going to spend $30 to start Lauer on his day back from the IL at Cincinnati
-
0.7 point currently separates the bottom dwellers! Exciting race!

Of course my last streamer pitcher start against Miami went really badly, so maybe I dodged a bullet. I am actually on pace to hit my innings limit with the pitchers I have now, but only if all my pitchers get all their remaining starts.

It’s tough luck when you spend $21 on Drew Smyly looking for that start @Miami…and he pulls up lame.

Delta had us go through Atlanta to get to Montego Bay . Landjeager is just a snack they had no.issue
-
TSA gonna TSA, though I’ve never had any problems there. You should have checked back in at International—sometimes if I’m getting dropped off I’ll even go there to check in for a domestic flight, at certain times of day. Anyway, how’d you get the landjäger thru customs? And I’m trying to figure out where it makes sense to fly from O’Hare via ATL? Maybe the Caribbean but Miami is usually a better choice. Delta does have direct flights to South Africa, which O’Hare does not have. (It’s long.)

TSA were Nazis , yelling ,pushy, bossy ,herding people . made some lady cry and others have panic attacks
-
We flew Delta , baggage transfer was confusing , walking to Terminal B was longer than we thought
-
So the first rule of ATL is “always fly delta”—then you could have checked in/cleared security for your domestic connection in the international terminal and taken the plane train to concourse B. If you insist on flying Southwest (or, god forbid, Frontier or Spirit) they’re not going to have check-in at Int. Not sure about AA or UAL. And while I’d walk from domestic to concourse B the train would be faster. Have you ever arrived at T5 in O’Hare and tried to make a domestic connection?

Fortunately I always pack in my carry bag some landjaeger
-
Pat , I had to go from international to customs and immigration , to baggage, top take to connecting baggage terminal , through TSa, then miles of trekking to get to terminal B. While all the food courts were just shutting .
-
From a vending machine? I might have missed it but the only 24-hour places I saw here were 1 McD’s and a couple Duncan’s: https://www.flychicago.com/ohare/eatshopmore/eat/Pages/default.aspx . Most places seem to run on central time and close by 9. Agree that ATL can be a hassle for connecting travelers but it’s a great home airport, flights are never cancelled (except problems at the destination) and the luggage service is the most efficient this side of Changi—your bags wait for you at ATL.

Many issues ,worst is all the food shutytng down at 10.

I officially hate Atlanta airport , never coming through again
-
The Rockies never make logical decisions, so there is no telling what they do.
-
If Kris Bryant plays the last week of the season I'll be mad at myself. I just can't see why the Rockies would rush him back on the field with nothing to play for.

There are a few teams that have really set themselves up well for next year .
-
Carroll was my top prospect , and Taco was smart to grab him before someone else did.
-
Wander Franco—who is still younger than Carroll (that dude is already 22, it’s not like he’s JRod or Soto or Harris or Grissom)—says hi.

Looks to me like Henry and Chuck are gonna go down to the last few days of the season, ala season 1 here, or that year Hook and I were bidding $30-40 on journeymen SPs trying to lineup the inning overage day. Goodtimes. Wait, nvmd, he won. Badtimes.
-
Ha, Pat, no, no involvement in that Atl pizzeria. Great name for one, though
-
Henry, its the bats more than pitching . Cease vs Oakland tomorrow
-
Fred, is there some way you could just use up all your innings tonight? I'm getting whiplash watching you pass me.

Pie, obviously. After all last year he was less than 7 ppi and went for $15. Nothing crazy about that auction/bid. (He has been worth more like 8 ppi for Brew though.)

7.2ppi RP is now worth north of $15??
-
Doubt I'll be keeping him at 17$ , but he will probably go for around that next draft .
-
Pat, I thank you for Doval he sure is nasty .
-
He gets KC this week..the team he gets beat up by is Cleveland
-
Cease had low pitch count , didn't get a K until 5th inning, lot of early count weak outs. The announcers were saying pitch around Arreaz , the one guy in lifeup you didn't wasn't to see
-
Nice start from Cease, pretty good week for pitching with Strider’s gem too. Sometimes I think those near no-hitters are more memorable than the actual ones. And like the all-star selections they’d probably find a way to cheat him—ESPN’s Cy Predictor doesn’t even have him 2nd (Framber)! But that tool is worthless—it has Kenly in the top 10, and I’m terrified whenever i see him in the game.

I disagree, right now its Verlanders award . Cease would have to dominate his next three or four starts to catch up.
