TdA beating out an infield single was one of the more entertaining plays in that strange game. Right up there with Braves inability to catch popups.

Bohm takes deGrom yard, chatbot not looking so bright right now. Maybe Muncy will hit 2.

Travis D had something to say today !

Bard was more useful for specific (if easy) questions. It told me to start Muncy over Bohm at 3B based on an easier matchup, and yes it would start Pablo Lopez today.

Iโm not sure it understands the value of SBs in ottoneu, or who is/isnโt on the waiver wire. Bard is a lot more confident than Bing about its own ability to manage an ottoneu team: โ Yes, I could manage an Ottoneu Fantasy Baseball team myself. I have access to all of the information and resources that I would need to make informed decisions about my team. I can also use my knowledge of baseball to evaluate players and make trades.โ

โโฆ one up off the waiver wire.
Second, your pitching staff is solid, but you could use another top-of-the-rotation starter. You might want to consider trading for one of the top pitchers in the league or picking one up off the waiver wire.
Overall, you have a good team that is capable of competing for a championship. However, you could make some improvements by adding some speed and another top-of-the-rotation starter.โ
Good advice I guess but not helpful o

I asked the Bard (not Bing this time) (no relation to Daniel, it claims) who I should start today and gave it a link to my roster page. Itโs response wasnโt very helpful: โThank you for sharing your roster with me. I have looked at it and have some general advice for you.
First, you have a strong team with a lot of power hitters. However, you are also missing some speed, as you only have one player with double-digit steals. You might want to consider trading for a faster player or p

No, unfortunately I have to take a friend to a medical procedure, so canโt make it happen, but at least the timing works for me to watch the game from home.

When I used to have a real job I always took the day off and often went to opening day. Today is better than Christmas
-
"Off" from what? Agree about the west coast; Hawaii should have been mlb.tv paradise but 5 of the 6 west coast teams were blacked out (at least when I lived there) so it was mostly morning baseball. Tomorrow I'll watch the Braves then surf the later games.

Got some good bratwurst and some lamp chops to grill up and will drink Maibock lagers. Wife is out of town so its maximum meat this week

Being in the Pacific Time Zone make a difference. There are games from 10 am until I go to sleep. Love it, maybe my favorite day of the year.
-
I take day off , usually grill and drink beer
-
I'm a radio listener. Always have a Red Sox game on if I can. But I finally have MLB.tv this year through T-Mobile, so I may prop up my phone next to my work monitor.
-
I usually take off at lunch if the Braves have an afternoon game.
-
I wish. Too busy to take the day, but I do have games running on a side monitor all day while working.
-
Just curious, now that MLB does such a great job with Opening Day, do you guys take the day off? I live too far from a MLB city to go to a game, but always take the day off to watch games and eat wings all day.
-
One more day!
-
Will get pastrami at some point , and a bagel and lox plater

I'm going there for business in two weeks , midtown manhatten

I don't believe that unless they have crazy exports. Germans buy everything local , especially beer .

If you believe the powdered beer spokesperson, transportation and storage of beer is 5% of Germany's carbon footprint.

Oscar Colas, CWS (24): A free-swinger, Colas seems the obvious favorite to win the right field battle in Chicago. Heโs the best defensive option among those with some offensive capability. While aggression is expected to hold him back, such hitters can sometimes ride an early hot streak until opposing scouts discover their weaknesses. Heโs batting .283/.298/.500 with three home runs in 47 plate appearances.

I'm pretty happy I kept Turner , even at 62$. Some people had a lot if cash, so you never know what can happen at draft

The Cubs wrapped up a good second half of 2022 (39-31) with a strong 16-6 finish capped off by a blowout win over the Reds Wednesday. What does it mean for 2023?Oct 6, 2022

Btw, during their โgreatโ last 2 months of the seasons, the Cubs hit .227/.306/.365, a wRV+ of 91. For the whole season they hit .238/.311/.387, wRC+ 98.

Nice sucker bets you've offered there (current line Cubs 76.5 wins, Sox 83.5).
-
Iโll grant their defense is (much) better than their offense (even if Dansby doesnโt repeat his outlier defensive season), and the less said about the collection of #5 starters that make up their rotation, the better. I like to line up my fall beers early: Iโm happy to take the under on both 80 wins for. The Cubs and 90 wins for the White Sox.

Being objective, I'm the flip of that . Cubs won 74 and had a great last two months. They have deep young pitching , and gg level fielding at SS lf, cf, and 2b. They may surprise you, but I have them a solid 80-82 wins. SF is on decline, may be more 76-78 win team imo
-
I buy the Giants as a .500 team but that seems pretty optimistic for your local teams Fred. Maybe you forgot about the new schedule this year?

Doval at 14$ looks like a nice choice by Bat , although SF, like my Cubs , are 80 win team. I have Mets at 98 and Chi Sox at 90
