3/18 would work for me but would greatly prefer a start time 8 Eastern or later. Could do anytime on a weekend probably.

Happy 2016 everyone -- hope your new year is off to a good start. I've really been encouraged by the offseason trading and activity so far. I think it bodes well for this season. But paying money is the ultimate commitment, so: I'd like everyone to renew their teams for 2016 this week. I think it's easier to lock everyone in early rather than find out someone's dropping out just before the draft. I'm also eyeing Friday 3/18 as a potential draft date. Let's get that discussion going too. Thanks!

I'm getting pretty close to releasing all of the guys on my trading block so, if anybody wants them at their current salary... make me an offer!

Pretend baseball by the people, of the people, for the people, with the people, screw the people.

Also, I saw on Twitter that I can add a description for our league, and sure enough I get 140 characters. Floor is open for all suggestions.
-
"This fantasy league is a potential investment in our family's future." Feel free to use that line on your spouse/s.o./parents. It did not work on my wife, but it definitely made her pause. A reminder that we're 10 days from the deadline to spend those arbitration dollars. Looks like we're down to 2 owners who have yet to do it. Thanks to everyone who has.
-
I'm good with $49.99. Hopefully my wife will be.
-
Ha, that check is in the mail. OK, half the teams have made arbitration allocations, which is great. Even if you're not planning to stay on with the league, do us holdovers a favor and allocate your team's dollars. Click on the ALLOCATIONS link at the top of the league home page to get started, and as always shoot me any questions you might have.
-
i'm on board. Prize payments are retroactive to this season, right?

Is everybody on board with $49.99? Anybody not willing to pay that and need to be replaced?
-
Congrats Little Spaceman!

Congrats Little Spaceman!
-
True, good point
-
There might be an advantage in waiting until after arbitration. Players might get allocated salary that you can later cut, saving you budget space.
-
Also, I think you guys already know this, but I should add that you obviously can't pick anybody up right now off waivers. The next time you can add players will be the auction draft.
-
Well, there's no penalty for being over the cap right now, so I think the answer to your question is no. You just want to get your cap situation in order by the keeper deadline of Jan. 31. That's the last day to cut players. In the meantime, salaries will increase for all players on your roster, and the allocated arbitration dollars are in addition to that. You can cut your players any time between now and Jan. 31 -- there's no advantage to doing it earlier or later.
-
Firstly, congrats to Little Spacemen.
I'm also in for free or prize league next year.
Finally, I have read the rules but this is my first off-season. I have seen players dropped already. Do I need to drop players before the allocation process to avoid penalty?
