I prefer the allocation system as well. It theoretically prices players more reasonably, that way there aren't a bunch of sub $5 MVP candidates out there.

The alternative is 'allocation' where each team gets $25 to add onto player salaries of other teams. You must allocate at least $1 per team but no more than $3. Essentially the high value players get a bigger salary. I'm leaning toward this. Thoughts?

So as of now the arbitration system is set to 'vote off' i.e. everyteam votes for one player on every other team. Whichever single player gets the most votes is a free agent. The team from which they were voted off of gets a $5 discount at auction.
