I'm good with the evening of 2/18. Five kids and defending champ...I am not worthy.

I have 5 kids so day time is rough for me. How about the evening of 2/18?

Sunday, 3/11 would work for me if it's earlier in the day. I can't draft after about 4p CST

2/18 or 3/11 works for me. I have another draft on 3/25 which I know at least one other owner in this league is a part of.
-
I could try to make Sunday 3/11 work if that fits everyone else. Just need to hope my travel is not delayed.
-
Which brings us to Sunday 2/18 or Sunday 3/25.
-
Alright. 2/24, 2/25, 3/17, 3/18, and all weekdays are off the table.
-
I'll be celebrating my grandfather's 95th birthday on the night of 3/17

I'm on the West coast, so 8 or 9p EST weeknights is tough for me.

I could potentially do the night of 2/25. My auction is during the day, but it's at least four hours, I'm not sure how pleased my wife will be if I auction all day on one of her rare Sundays off. I'll look at our work schedules this weekend and figure out if something will work. I believe one year we auctioned on a week night and made it work.

The weekend of March 3-4, Sunday 3/11, and Sunday 3/25 don't work for me. The other weekend nights should work for me though.

Do you have an alternative date you would like to suggest? We have traditionally found Sunday nights the easiest to work with, but I'm open to alternatives.

Either of those dates work for me.
-
I'm always a fan of drafting in mid/late March, but time-wise I'm completely flexible.
-
Late February would work best for me.
-
prefer 3.18, but could do 2.25 in a pinch.

Anyone want to start talking about an auction date? I'm out of the country 3/3 through 3/10 so I was going to suggest looking at possibly Sunday 2/25 or Sunday 3/18 @ 8PM EST. Thoughts? Personally, I could do an early date, but I know a lot of people like to wait until ST starts sorting some things out. I'm open either way.

The downside of taking on loans is that, theoretically, it should give the loan-taking team trouble the following offseason when they'll have to cut good players. But over the 5 years of this league so far, it seems like the teams at the top stay at the top the following year. And certainly that has plenty to do with the owners being good at ottoneu, but I'm not sure that the "penalty" of taking on loans has actually penalized teams the way it's intended to.
-
I get that, but a rebuilding team has 11 other teams to which it can send money. If we're looking for teams staying in the race longer, I think a hard loan cap would accomplish that. In the years that I've thrown in the competitive towel, there are usually 2 or 3 teams that I'm looking to make deals with knowing that they're in need of "now" talent. If those 2-3 teams cap themselves out early, then it opens up more middle of the pack teams to swing deals that might make things closer i
-
The reason I'd be against that, DL, is that giving salary loans is a tactic that rebuilding teams use in order to maximize their trade returns. I feel that hard capping the loan intakes could harm rebuilding teams, which is exactly what we don't want to do.
