You
-
is that to me or to shrews?
-
Which players do you not care about?
-
hey who on your team do you not care about? cause i got some players i dont care about.
-
probablyu shouldve just traded him for money
-
If I'm just going to cut Escobar or sit him the entire time, not sure why I would really care. Might be the wrong thought but I wasn't going to make a big negotiation over someone I didn't care about.
-
It's no big deal. I just think that if somebody wants someone off your team, you should try to get something from them that you want. He obviously valued Escobar over Ozuna, or he wouldn't have offered it.

he saved a dollar
-
And just to make it clear, he offered the deal to me. Wasn't like he said, "Hey I want Escobar" and I replied, "Hey just give me whoever". I really wouldn't have cared either way however.
-
Well, I guess if you want to see it that way. He offered a trade for a player I didn't care about having, the value was comparable, so I accepted. Isn't that kind of how trades work? I didn't need him, so I traded him away.
-
He wanted a player, so you gave him to him?

Christian - I didn't really want Escobar, so trading for Ozuna didn't make a difference. Ben wanted Escobar so it worked out
-
Let me know if anyone is interested in trading an elite pitcher. I've got some hot hitters I may be willing to deal

Shrews -- Why did you trade Yunel Escobar for Marcell Ozuna and then cut Ozuna ten days later?

As long as you can bid once in 48 hours, you can win the auction.
-
You only need to bid once, the highest you're willing to pay, and the highest bidder gets the player for $1 more than the next highest bid.
-
I had a meeting today during the end so, basically, even though I thought of bidding on Appel, I essentially was guaranteed to not get him
-
The time should extend if there is a bid made. I should be able to respond
-
dk what do you not like about it? basically is a blind auction
-
The way the auction works is annoying. That's the third player I've missed out on because of it.

I just changed my name. I need a boost. (this is kenton by the way) Hey everyone trade me your good players, so I can be good.
-
So my team is obviously flawed, and I'm aware this is not my year to win it. I'm looking for players to hold on to, so if anyone on my team looks interesting to you, send me an offer. thanks.
-
Interesting deal...couple prospects back that I can hang on to...hmmm
-
My point is kind of the same as DKs...just am still wondering why and haven't heard anything from Brown. That's all I was curious about...
-
I'm not sour about either trade, even if the first one had gone through. Only curious as to why he would make the trade. This hurts the league more than someone who never checks their team.
-
I don't care about vetos either. I was on the fence. But even one player in this league making irrational deals ruins it. That's what I'm saying
-
The answer: no one should be vetoing any of these trades. That's how to deal with it.
-
Nothing to see here; no collusion or manipulation of the market. Only sour grapes, now getting thrown all about.
-
He's offered/accepted deals for Gonzalez, who he bought at auction for a higher price than any of us bid. Now, he can value him how he wants. I only think he shouldn't have been allowed to veto his own deal, which he apparently did.
-
Isn't this an issue that needs to be dealt with?
-
I couldn't care less about Ike manipulating people. I'm more concerned with Brown trying (multiple times) to give away one of the best players in the league for next to nothing. Is there any logical explanation for this?
-
I vetoed the trade, but only because I think Ike's unfairly manipulating. That's always been my standard for veto and that's what I did here.

I'd take a $4 Hudson over a $24 Samardzija if I'm rebuilding like Brown. I'm not sure this isn't a worse trade for Brown.

Throwing in Haren doesn't make it better for him. It makes it better for you. It's the equivalent of him picking up 14 bucks in cap, because Haren is below league average at this point.

In the mood now to make a deal...ready to move Trout. Don't really need an OF back...hit me up
-
Brown wanted to do samardzija for gonzo straight. I threw in Dan to make it better for him. He actually proposed the trading of gonzo to me.
-
Brown wanted to do Sarm
