Welcome!

Welcome Brandon!

Welcome Brandon! Glad you could join us!
-
Hey gentlemen! First I want to say how much I appreciate the opportunity to join this league. By the looks of it there's a ton of activity, which is right up my alley! Looking over my roster there's definitely some work to be done, but I am committed and am in this thing for the long haul. When trading goes live there's no doubt I'll be interested in making some deals. Thanks again guys for this opportunity, and I really look forward to getting to know each of you!
-
GTBTP's trade block has been updated!
-
Didnt you have to compare them in order for you to say they shouldn't be compared? Also just to point out i usually dont refer to people ingo to church with as "random people" especially people with whom Ive been in the same fantasy baseball league for 4 years. Wow. All you people in this league besides brandon are not random. And after this season brandon will no longer be random. I love you all and think of you as friends with whom i have had connection physically and emotionally.
-
Ok, I found a Brandon Standifer in the owners list and added him to Sam's team. Hopefully that worked. Can one of his friends please confirm?

And that does in fact seal it. Brandon Standifer will be a welcome addition to the league. I'll initiate the transfer of Sam's team. I trust everyone will welcome him with open arms.

YEAH KENTON ONE OUGHT NOT TO COMPARE THEM!

It probably won't matter. But I vote for Collin
-
Awww thanks DK! Also that vote seals it with 5 for Brandon.

Brandon
-
I feel a great connection with you Shrews.
-
A great example a Pieper fallacious argument: "aren't just random people I don't have any connection with." In actuality, I implied that a connection with random people from an old church isn't even close to the same connection one feels to a blood relative, and ought not be compared.
-
I don't know any of them personally but I'll vote for Patrick
-
I vote for Collin. Dude is very active in fantasy sports and stays very involved. I am in other leagues with him and he's always active
-
the people I attended church with in the past aren't just random people I don't have any connection with.
-
I vote Patrick
-
It hurts that I'm a random person you don't feel a connection to Derek.
-
Yeah, when has us being siblings changed anything in this league? If anything it increases competition in this league as I want to beat andrew and christian more than any of you, except for maybe DK because of personal competition that dates back to White Sux twins discussions. lol
-
haha and that connection means we are giving so much preference to each other?
-
yah I normally feel the same connection with random people who attend a church I haven't been to in almost a decade as I do my blood relatives. It's practically the same thing.
-
not sure if I need to vote since I put in the nomination, but I vote Brandon.

Ok so our nominees are as follows: Collin St. Clair, Brandon Standifer, and Patrick Mock. Voting concludes Friday night at 11:59 PM PDT. To vote, just post here or message me with the name of the person you prefer from the three nominees. Please do not plan to be able to change your vote. As commissioner, I will only vote in the case of a tie.

@kenton no thanks brah don't want to risk that. haha we should allow that voluntarily if people want to change things up
-
I know Patrick would be great. Sounds like Brandon would be as well. Good to have multiple solid options
-
Haha Shrews it's true- even if we had taken a random sample from Beaver Dam that would still probably be the case lol
-
I just had a sweet idea. Every year we should draw two names out of a hat and have them switch teams lol
-
And I voted/nominated Brandon because he's a known quantity who knows Ottoneu and know will be active. That's pretty much all I care about. And because he came in second in the voting last time (of two nominees, but still)
-
To be fair, this league is essentially Piepers and people who attended BDBC
-
That's like me angling against people who've attended BDBC because of how many of the naysayers had lolol
-
Lame comment DK- we've never even had a vote that affected the league other than this and I turned it down.
-
Shut up DK Why dont you nominate Katie to play so you can get your stupid votes. lol
-
For the record, I'd be happy to side with you guys over Andrew and Kenton at any point, if you guys would try not being wrong for a change.

I vote Brandon. In the event that more random majority votes come up where only 5 or 6 votes wins, seems wise to make sure a vote can't be almost won by a single family.
-
He would be able to step in with some idea of whats going on.

I am in 3 or so fantasy baseball leagues with Brandon. He loves fantasy baseball, and he would no doubt be very active and competitive if given the chance to be in the league. I can't say this about the others because I don't know, but I know Brandon has already played in an Ottoneu league. So, he might have a advantage than having someone who has never played before. By that I mean it wouldn't take him a year to adjust to the unique scoring system and ins and outs of Ottoneu.

I nominate our cousin Patrick. He is obsessed with fantasy sports and would be really good. I am 100% sure he would be 100% active the whole year long.
-
If we're still taking nominations, I nominate Brandon Standifer, the same guy I nominated last time when Aaron left. 100% he would be active and is good, Jodie knows him as well to vouch for him.
-
I feel you dude. My team blows too. All about rebuilding. This is why I work at Starbucks and am not a GM and never will be.
-
Oh my team sucked/has sucked...I actually thought I was going to be good this year :( no worries, I was just curious. Thanks for telling me
-
I also nominate Collin St.Clair to take Sam M spot.
-
With me saying that I do agree that we should have a league rule on making sure we reach a certain amount of IP and AB.
-
I nominated you Shrews. But it was just based on at bats and innings pitched. I realized that you were very active and did participate but I thought we based the nomination not on activity in the league but on activity your team showed on the field. Nothing against you and your activity i for sure appreciate you countering and even posting on here. I just nominated solely based on team performance.
-
So I guess that leaves it down to a couple who nominated me? I'd be curious if whoever it was said so, mainly just for curiosity. Thanks again to those who voted to keep me in.
-
I guess my vote really isn't needed. But as long as someone is active I will vote to keep them. So I would have voting to keep Shrews.

Congrats on avoiding relegation easily Shrews. For the record, I agree with the league's consensus and would have voted to keep you in if necessary. Reminder: please get me any nominations to take Sam's spot in the league by Tuesday at 11:59 PM PDT. Make sure these people are willing to join and put in the required effort before nominating them. We'll vote on all nominations after they are received.
