• To put it another way: I think if someone in the league consistently makes moves that warrant veto votes (as some in this league hand them out) then that person shouldn't be in the league. They should either be trusted with a team—that is, to build that team how they wish—or they shouldn't.

• I guess our disagreement is I want to break apart the veto and "think someone is getting ripped off." A veto should be reserved for trades that clearly disrupt some balance in the league, usually in the form of some nefarious moves (e.g., I decide I want to quit the league, but want Ike to win so I give him my good players). You can think someone is getting ripped off without thinking the trade worthy of veto.
