Anyone here looking to make offseason moves?

Pillar of Teeth's trading block has been updated!
-
That's an aspect of Bauer's move I hadn't considered, but I think he'll miss facing pitchers 10% of the time. Easier park though. And Myers should have started full time in KC, in an easier division, probably higher in the lineup.
-
Bauer definitely more valuable since he'll most likely be allowed to start all year in Cleveland. Same with Myers in TB.

This feels wrong: two major, Ottoneu-style trades involving top prospects and money, and I really don't think either of them changes much in the players value. I guess Choo is more valuable now?
-
Anyone wishing to discuss trades during the offseason, please shoot me a message. I'm willing to discuss everyone on my team.

Hey, for everyone who's new, the way you set keepers is by not dropping them. So you have until January 31 to drop every player you don't want to keep.
-
Small heads up: Orange Crush allocated $23 of his $25, which means none of it counted, which is why he's listed as not allocating. But his allocations are still showing up on the detail pages, but they're not added to the salaries.
-
I'm sure they'll fix it eventually
-
Wish they showed the Arb Results better
-
It's funny, if you type in the old allocating address, there's a proper "You can't do this anymore" page, but if you click the link to the results, it 404s you. And Niv's on vacation.
-
If/when Miguel Cabrera wins MVP over Trout, I sure hope to see a lot of you adjust your allocations to him accordingly. Don't drive up the price of the second-most-valuable player. ;)
-
Wow, thanks for looking into that. That's weirdly funny that he sort of asked "can *you* remind me of the rules for *my* game?"
-
Rime, Chasing, this is all I can refer you to: https://twitter.com/byronhauck/status/254332041196355584 and http://i.imgur.com/wTbX3.jpg
-
Rime, I noticed the scoring thing too. Does not really make sense to not adjust the standings, at least in my opinion. Anyone have any thoughts?

Hey Blood, Queen City, and Void: don't be the Jeff Loria of our league--allocate your arbitration dollars!
-
Whoa. Just re-checked the standings and realized you *don't* gain points for jumping ahead of teams that didn't hit 1250 IP. e.g. I got 12 in HR/9, next highest was 8. I was operating as though the 2nd-highest qualifying team would have 11 points.
-
Carlos Perez's K-Dance's trading block has been updated!
-
It's possible I clicked the wrong box, but when I woke up today I'd somehow allocated $2 to Alex White. For those of you who've set your allocations, might want to quickly review them to make sure nothing changed. For those who haven't, let's get going!
-
If you can't change your allocation on a team without it giving you an incorrect error message, try zeroing that team out, saving, then reallocate.
-
Congratulations to Rim of Jamie Moyer! Victory couldn't happen to a better-named team!

Welcome to our new Orange Crush owner!
-
I want to re-iterate: unanimous support so far for new arbitration system, let me know if you don't like it: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/index.php/new-and-improved-ottoneu-arbitration-process/
-
Congrats again to Rime, and to Steve too, for making it a race. Weird conditions right now: roster organizer, but prices and positions not updated. Can cut players with no penalty, but old penalties still there. Halladay auction disappeared.
-
Thanks. Great season by you; I was really sweating it for most of this month.
-
Congratulations

Also on Friday: The Rime of Jamie Moyer's victory parade. Chasing Avery will gain 5 points on us by virtue of teams not hitting their 1250-IP threshold, but we already have the champagne on ice.
-
If you don't follow Niv on Twitter, here are some dates: Thursday is last day of season, Friday has price increases (and position updates?), Arb is 10/15-11/15, and keeper deadline is 2/1/13
-
Niv told someone else on Twitter, "Either you will see a 'Start Auction' link or you won't." So I guess if you could start an auction it's allowed to finish.
-
I have no idea. Bid as if they're counting, I suppose?
-
I think that does imply that the ones today won't count? Since they won't be finished until Wednesday afternoon (unless there are tiebreaker games - do those change everything?)
-
According to the rules, "All auctions must be completed prior to the start of the last day of games of the season."
-

-
I changed to the new Arb system linked above. We'd had unanimous support. If you don't like it, make yourself known. If it's voted down I can change it back.
-
I think all auctions have to be started before the midnight in between this Sunday and this Monday. It's possible it's 24 hours before that. I hate when people schedule things for midnight on a certain date.
-
5 teams are currently not on pace to hit the 1250-IP minimum?! Not much hope for the bottom 2 getting there, but Dirt, Orange, and Pickoff can make it with a little push.
-
New arb: I'm fine with it. Don't love it, but might as well make the switch.

Anyone else weirded out that the WHIP and ERA columns suddenly changed order?
-
I love it.
-
I just read that. I really like the new version, but if anyone has concerns about it I think we should discuss them.
-
Dunno what you guys think, but I like the new option for arbitration. We have to decide as a league to stick with the old or go with the new. I vote new Details here- http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/index.php/new-and-improved-ottoneu-arbitration-proce

:)

Haha Rime. Nice shout out to Pres. Clinton.

ARITHMETIC.
-
I still don't understand how I can be last in only one category, and not just last overall, but last overall by a mile.
-
Hah: "Consider for reference that Aaron Cook registered seven strikeouts through his first ten starts, spanning 237 batters. McGee has done that against 230 fewer batters."
-
Jacob McGee has struck out the last 7 batters he's faced, and 11 of the last 13.
-
And there it is - swung from 7 points up to 2nd place in 2 days.
-
I still have an outgoing trade offer outstanding. I wonder if Orange Crush could still accept it?
