Welcome to our 2 new owners.

I like it when they wear dead salmons for hats.

No, that would have probably been more interesting though. The team name was more of killer whale reference. More of a lions, tigers, or bears team name.

Im tryna figure out if Im able to continue..If so Ill stay commish..no worries..I wont leave you guys hanginh Ill figure it out asap

Thanks to the Game for being Commish. If the league survives, I think the remaining teams can agree that we can transition from the Game to a new Commish.

I would prefer 12 over 10 team league but would prefer 10 over league folding. Concerned that big papi team being available for long time with no takers. Thanks misfits for an explanation of timing of when teams may or may not be claimed. Not really interested in commish but willing to help out. If nobody is interested maybe the remaining teams could “draw straws” and agree to one year commitment to be commish. Won’t matter much if we don’t get some replacement teams.

I prefer 12 team, but I would be ok with 10. You do see a number of new owners join after the keeper deadline. That's when you see other leagues fold and those owners start looking for new leagues to join that didn't fold. I've known some owners that wait until after the deadline just to see what the talent pool for the draft looks like as well.
-
Is dropping to ten teams an option? Finding four/five new owners before payment is due may be a bridge too far. Though I imagine some current owners may strongly prefer a 12-team league.

Ill wait to hear from rest of league before handing over the Commish to someone incase someone really would like it..also dropped 3 teams who asked to be dropped to the available list..
-
I'll pass on being commish, but I plan to stay until the league officially shuts down.
-
I think this is a great league and those teams that left can get filled up - I'd prefer not to be comish, but could do it. More importantly - let's fill these teams.

I'll be returning

I have abandoned PAPI..He left his team in good shape so lets hope it gets picked up quickly..Is everyone else returning?
-
Sad to see you go Papi but thank you for the heads up..It's been a pleasure playing with you the last few years..Good luck with all your future fantasy endeavors ✌🏻
-
Hi Commish and owners, wanted to say it's been a pleasure playing with all of you this season. Got way too many leagues and cannot maintain the rythm (time consuming and $$$). So I won't be renewing many of my leagues like this one, got some talent to attract new owner for next year so you should be able to quickly fill vacancy. have a good arb and a great future season! Thanks Commish for great work

My apologies for not saying nice job to Wolves for the win first before making my statements.

We are gonna cap the "off season" Roster at 50 til after ARB and until Cuts need to be made pre-draft..so noone needs to drop anyone at this point..with all the IR we all have had we will generally hover in the 40-50 end of season rosters most years..any questions feel free to add to this convo..If anyone wants to re-add players they dropped by accident or not knowing this newish rule I can re-add them but need to know asap TY
-
Cuts are actually locked - commish, you can drop Darvish, Boyd, Scherzer (or I can when rosters are unlocked)

So for an owner like Roll that picked up three players at the end and was three over when they did - then Roll should cut 3 players before arbitration starts. The MILB part was unique and I think letting everyone be no more than 2 over the limit they were at the end of the season is fair. When the loans are cleared, the money is always off and none of my other leagues make any adjustments. You just need to be legal at the deadline. The leagues worry about arbitration and trades in the offseason.
-
Every other league I am in only requires that your roster be valid when the season ended. If you acquired players via claims or auctions at the last minute, then you need to make cuts for those players you obtained. Otherwise, they just let things be and worry about being valid at the deadline.
-
My 2cents. If you already had players on the IL within the last few days of the season and didn't acquire any via claims or auction, that shouldn't count against you and you should be able to keep the roster number you were eligible for at the end of the season. If you went over the limit by acquiring players in the last few days then cuts should be made. The adding of players off the MILB roster should also not count against you if you are now a couple players over the limit.
-
100% agree so lets start with a roll call of who is returning and who is not?! TY
-
If the team was "legal" on the last day, I wouldn't worry about it, even if they have 20 60-day IL guys. That said you did add ~2 players to every team so many of us are not currently legal. I actually added 3 players late last night so I'm 5 over. You should enforce these cuts, but you should be clear about the deadline. Not sure if everyone will be back, but it shouldn't take more than a day or two. That said, I'll hold off on cuts until you/we've made a decision.

Only issue with that is potentially a team allready has a high priced stud or 2 on IT then trades for a higher priced player also and recieved a loan with it will have trouble poss with Cap money unless they drop said players and that seems a bit rough also..my suggestion is since noone is over 50 players we use that as a cap for players going into Arb after that it will all sort itself out roster and money wise when cuts need to be made..just my 2c
-
I can go either way. Not a fan of a team potentially adding extra players that goes above the legal roster limit just bc it's the end of the season. Also seems rough to penalize teams that had players on 60-day IL. They're already "penalized" by these guys being unavailable during the season. As a team with several players on IL but a legal roster (46 of 47) it doesn't feel like I'm holding onto extra players. IMO solution should be you cut to a legal roster and salary cap but not a ro

I need a discussion and vote..Should we cut team rosters down to 40 players before arbitration or allow teams over 40 players to keep extra players but maybe put a cap on how many over we can keep? Ik we all got hit with IR guys as we were able to have over the limit during season which put almost all of us over the 40 atm..I also spoke to NIV and the site allows over the 40 thru arb but agrees each league should put some sort of limits so noone takes advantage of the loophole etc THOUGHTS??
-
All MILB players have been added to proper MLB rosters for $1..If you find an error please message me asap..This officially ENDS our MILB rosters..next up is Arbritration
