Real question for the league: do new owners tend to change the names of teams? I want to respect the social norms of the league.

Now that Brian and Neil have said hi, I'll note that we raised $652 for LLS by auctioning off these two spots. We're closing in on $10,000 in total donations since the league started. You guys are the best.

Hey everyone, I'm Neil and the new owner of Bake's Bunch. I'm a grad student at UNC and a writer at few baseball sites. Excited to meet everyone. If there's someone on my team you find appealing, let me know. I'm planning an overhaul.

Hey all. I'm Brian, the new owner for S.R.E.A.M., which I've been typing as "Stream" to Dave. So, great start. First Q: is Carlos Peguero's wife draftable in this league? I could use the steals. I recognize I may need to drop Felix for clubhouse harmony.

I just witnessed two Met fans in the subway discussing (with glee) the possiblity of signing Stephen Drew.

Yeah, Dave mentioned that we have two new owners and he raised around $700 for Team in Training.

Congrats, Gedman, and any other Sox fans in the league.

So, is the auction over? Do we have two new owners?

never mind, I see it.

So eveyone can see the allocations as they happen? It's not a blind system?
-
That means that you can fill out your allocations, then adjust them if other people's allocations inspire you to do so. So, it's beneficial not to wait until the end to do your allocations.
-
Okay, the arbitration allocation window is now open. Voting ends in a month, but unlike the vote-offs, these numbers can be changed throughout the month, so you are not bound to your initial decisions.
-
If you're seeing the arbitration vote-off model from last year, do not use the form to submit a vote off. We are switching to the allocation method, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet, since the commissioner tools are not super easy to use.
-
Thanks, Mr. Commish. Errrr...Dave.
-
The rules are spelled out here: http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/new-and-improved-ottoneu-arbitration-process/
-
"The dollars to a given team can be given all to one player or split among up to three players (due to the $3 limit)."
-
Okay, next question. I can't find details in the rules. We can add up to $3 to a team. Can all three dollars go to a single player, or is there an individual limit of $1 or $2 per player? Thanks! I promise I tried to find this in the rules.

Halifax has $605 in base salaries at the moment. Good luck getting under the cap!
-
I see that last year the increases happened on the 5th of October; I bet your order is correct.

Quick question...I see the note that arbitration starts 10/16. Does our $1/$2 increase happen first, then arbitration, then off-season open trades, then cut deadline? Does my question make sense?
-
I appreciate the congratulations and love that I snuck into 2nd place but I'm currently on a dry spell in solidarity with my wife who is expecting our second child in May
-
Still, a bet's a bet so maybe anyone who owes me can settle up by finding someone in their life who's been efffected by cancer and treating that person to the beverage of his or her choice.
-
Yes, I owe SABR beers. I was in on that wager. I owe Dave awe and a plea for mercy.
-
Another fun year. Thanks everybody. And congrats to SABR for finishing 2nd. Hopefully you are a beer drinker.
-
Yes congratulations Dave....can't wait for next year. I am a glutton for punishment!

Thanks for a great year, everyone. And I don't just say that because my team did well. It's great getting to know you all and I hope you guys had fun too.
-
Congratulation, Dave, well played. And thanks to everyone for another fun year in the Screw Cancer league.
-
Ooooops. Guess I shouldn't have cut Rollins and Papelbon. I thought they were too pricey. Poop.

Within a season, looks like Brad Ziegler at 39. Kimbrel had 38 1/3 in 2001. Gregg Olson had 41 1/3 across two seasons.

Anyone know what the record for consecutive scoreless innings across multiple game from a reliever is? I can't seem to find it.

@Piedmont - great! Thanks.

You didn't lose a day of points. Niv removed the stipulation that a teams points wouldn't count when their roster is out of balance. You got your points for yesterday.
-
It drives me nuts when I lose a day of points because someone came off the 60 day DL!

I'd imagine that was probably just while the trade deadline switchover was happening. You should be able to cut him now.
-
Dave, I tried to cut Gregerson, and it said "no cutting players" right now. If the pickup of Ramirez goes through (and if I missed the deadline, it's all good!) then please drop Gregerson by hand.
