• I have three thoughts on this. 1.) I'm agnostic on whether it's a 24 or 48 hour waiting period. 2.) I believe it's better than there is a league vote than a commissioner's veto on trades. That creates too much pressure for the commissioner. And 3.) It should be rare to vote against a trade. And if you do vote against a trade, I'd ask that you write here on the message board the rationale for your decision. We should be able to debate it as intelligent people.

• Yeah I don't understand vetoing simply because you don't like it. I guess I get it if someone gets a little grumpy because another team might have gotten a good deal on a player they would've wanted but I've always thought vetoes should be reserved for an egregious trade that is so unbalanced it is either collusion or just bad for the league overall, which seems pretty rare.

• I'm pretty indifferent to trade wait timing. I bet rarely vote on trades and if I do it's usually yes. I can't think of a time I've ever voted no.

• Thanks for everyone's input. I would like to get a few more managers included, even with a "I don't care." I am sort of indifferent; however, if the purpose of the trade wait period is for votes on trades but the majority of the league does not vote on trades, it is not a meaningful pause in activity. We have never vetoed a trade, and in the rare case of suspected collusion in the future, a trade can be held up.

• As someone whos been here a very short while, Im usually pretty trusting especially with longer term leagues so shorter windows if any and vetos not being there unless theres some shady stuff. But usually give everyone the benefit of the doubt theyre just trying to run their squad.

• My vote is for 48 hour trade period. However, I am not a fan of vetoes of trades. If there is a trade that is questionable I believe the only veto power should be given to the commissioner.

• It’s the amount of time an accepted trade is pending, so the league can review it and vote on it. If a trade seems very unbalanced it gives the league an opportunity to veto it. Here’s an excerpt from the rules: After a trade is confirmed, league managers have 24 or 48 hours to review the trade, per league settings. If a majority (50% + 1 vote) of league managers object to the trade, it will not be finalized. This clock begins automatically once both teams have accepted the trade on the site.

• I really think any time now would be ok. If others want to give one more week that could be ok too, that would allow almost a month of inactivity. If someone hasn’t signed in for almost three weeks and those three weeks span the league's draft and opening week it’s definitely questionable if they’re going to play. I noticed he has another team in another league that he also missed the draft in and hasn’t been active there for weeks either.

• Yeah I think it would be best to try to get them actively managed as soon as possible as that would be better for overall league health. While they are not being managed and don't have full rosters, the league has better players available for less than it really should for a 12 team league. I understand they recently paid to renew/claim the teams and that things come up, but missing the auction and then no response all week doesn't signal that they intend to play this year.

• Because at least one available team requires significant rebuild, does anyone object if I offered my roster for a draft? What I have in mind is the bottom three teams given an opportunity to pick two players from my current roster, and teams #6-9 one player. There was an 800 point gap between teams 6 and 7, and close to 3000 points between teams 9 and 10. I thought this measure might appeal to a new manager and make the league more competitive. Any objections? I like to rebuild anyways.
