League Message Board

$11 Cal Raleigh is VERY available. Please send offers.

Nothing remotely “hateful” happened here - all is good - I had to ask - I believe you both made a legit trade. Best of luck.
-
Side note: @JJ congrats on the semi retirement, and will add I was hit and miss at Top Golf tonight so hope you golf game is doing well :) cheers man

I’ve been in this league for 12+ years and have seen way more “questionable” deals so a little wild for our commissioner to come out and publicly question the validity of the deal as it pertains to fairness and shady business. Me personally, I’d take Mediocre’s side of the deal 10/10 times for 2026 and beyond. @JJ I get where you are coming from but don’t see this as anything else but La Flame going all in to win a title and anyone could have done the same.
-
Wow, on a business trip and missed a lot of action here on the message board. Just weight in my two cents as a member of this league. Personally, do not understand the outrage. Mediocre has those players on their trade block for months and likely not keeping them so an offer combo that is roughly half the salary for 2026 can certainly make sense. Sure it’s two very good players going the other way but any team could have made that swap IMO. We all had that chance, JJ as well.
-
I believe you all. As an owner I will approve. As a commissioner I am glad I asked. Best of luck to all. Congrats to Blanca.
-
You’re right, this league will always be won by the person who can sell their bench to a the people down the line for huge loans. That’s how we work here, always have. More than any other league I’ve played in, this one is decided by trade deadline deals that move hundreds of dollars of salary around. When I had a desk job, those trades were a fun distraction and I could be successful here. From the golf course, these aren’t a fun distraction and I’ll stick to leagues with less emphasis on that.
-
As for the trade, I think it's fair and both of us acted in our own best interest, but everyone can vote as they see fit and I'll deal with it.
And I can understand JJ's frustration. To be honest, I don't love these type of trades either but they are part of every league that I've been in. And in my eyes, everyone has an equal opportunity to make them and if you choose not to, the teams your competing with probably will (and the cost will be less due to fewer bidders).
-
Hateful messages & being accused of running 2 teams isn't what I expected to login to today. My only communication with anyone in this league is through the messaging tab & I'm happy to publish my messages for all to see. If you're concerned that I'm running 2 teams, then contact Niv & get him to compare e-mails/payment methods. MP has been around longer than I have & we've been in the league together for ~8 years. I count 7 trades between us so running both would
-
That is a part of the game though, but one that is less and less interesting to me as I spend less time at the computer. Not specifically because of this trade, but because I recognize I am not the type of player that will flourish in this type of league anymore, it is probably going to be my last year here.
-
That said, I’ve recently sold my company and semi-retired, so I don’t spend as much time at the computer as I used to, so I am not able to be the wheeler and dealer I once was. I think this trade mostly makes me recognize that I might at the tail end of my time in this league. With my limited computer time, I am not able to compete in the trade deadline that shifts tens or hundreds of current value dollars between teams and radically changes the outcomes of the season.
-
I was being overly bitter about the trade earlier. Everyone is entitled to their opinion on the trade and can vote how they want. My frustration is more how this league seems to work. This league is sharply divided into the draft half and the trade half. Every year there seems to be a big controversial trade that seals the deal for someone. That is part of the game though, and I accept that’s how it works and I have some sour grapes to deal with.
-
I'm not telling anyone else how to view this, but I don't think there is anything wrong with this trade. One owner going for it while another is rebuilding and less likely to make it back to contention with $40-$60 players. I see value going both ways (albeit this year vs next year value), so I have no issue personally.

Thanks. Appreciate your post. If you made the trade with the intention of helping your team get better then the trade should go through. This one hits a lot different and we have all been doing this a long time. I’ve been on your side of this a lot and appreciate your feedback. I’m not sure how I will vote as an owner. I’d like to get some more feedback. Please don’t abstain from this one as many owners would like feedback. This league is great because of our integrity and expertise. Thanks.
-
I have had the same 4 players on my block for a while. Others can identify what offers they made, but this was the best offer in the context of next year and actually mattering. I wasn't interested in trading for a $5 player at a value of $2. If Yordan retires, I'll be wrong.
I don't care to blow up the league to push the trade through, so as commissioner you can do whatever you want.
Happy to publish my entire message history; rest assured that's the only way I've ever communicated
-
My vote is VETO. I think I’m done as commish and out next year if this one goes through - it’s incredibly fishy. I shared why with both owners and will continue to try my best to keep this going but this seems like it’s going to end my tenure here…..
-
Heh, I really thought I had a shot this year until everyone gave the best players to Flama, haha. Better luck to us all next year.
-
In erroneously accepted the CK trade. Trying to fix it. Sorry.

One of my favorite parts of this league is researching the waiver wire for Big Papi.

Welcome to Dynasty Year 13!
My apologies for the confusion and the skibidy Ohio messages.
Start time is 7PM EST (or earlier if we can)
This will be longer than you expect it to be but most of you are already used to that.
Choice A SATURDAY, Feb 22
Choice B SATURDAY, March 1
Choice C Sunday, March 9
Please vote with ALL the Choices that work.
I can make all three choices work.
Love you all.

I prefer February 23rd. Any time after 7pm is fine for me.
-
There's potentially some confusion with the February 23rd option (which I think you are making available) and the March 23rd option (which you are not) since they are both the 23rd and Sundays.
-
So it's Saturday March 8th or SUNDAY Feb 23rd? I'm fine with either. I would prefer it to start an hour or two later if possible due to kids bedtimes, but I can make it work if that's not possible.
-
We are not drafting on the 23rd. That is not an option if the stats from the first few games wont count.
-
As an owner I want all stats to count the same way we have counted ALL regular game stats for the last 13 years. As an owner I want to draft before the first game on the 15th.
-
fine with either
-
March 8 is tough for me, I’m getting on a cruise that afternoon. If we do it before 12 EST I could do it from the hotel or at 6 EST or later, I could do it from the ship. Otherwise, I prefer the 23rd.
-
Are you saying either Saturday March 8 or Sunday March 23 (which is what we have now)? If so, I would say keep March 23 and the few games won't count.

March 8 is my preference
-
According to Niv "Ottoneu does not do retroactive lineup setting. If you draft after the games in Japan, they won’t count for your league."
Please let me know your preference from the choices below:
Saturday, March 8 7PM EST OR Saturday, February 23
-
Would the Japan games just not count for us then?
