If anyone has a pitcher on their least favorite team they want injured just trade them to me. Sheesh

Can we lobby ottoneu to add a category for who's using a torpedo bat? Asking for a friend...

@No Glove No Love - flagging that you have 1 too many players on your roster. I know your team locks when that happens and you cannot make any moves, but I also think your stats dont count for as long as you have too many players. want to make sure you cut someone before the games start in a few hours so you dont get dinged.
-
happy opening day all! we made it!
-
Today is the last Sunday with no baseball until October fellas!
-
They both play and accrue stats. You stop earning stats once you hit 162 games played at C for the season though. It just gives flexibility to make sure you can max out the position.
-
I was wondering if anyone has some insight on this rule:
- The lineups page and roster organizer for non-head-to-head leagues allows for 2 catchers for platooning purposes; Ottoneu is not a 2-catcher game
I get the intent of having flexibility for your C spot, but if I filled the two starting C spots with two Cs who play on the same day... what happens? I'm curious how this functions day-to-day. It seems like it could invalidate your roster to do this but it does not specifi

My team looks good. Thanks for doing this!!
-
rosters have been imported from Couch Managers. everyone please check your rosters to make sure everything looks right.
-
All- about 1 hour left on the last auction. unless I hear otherwise, I am going to assume people are done nominating and the draft is over.
I will upload the results to Ottoneu tonight/tomorrow. thanks
-
For all other Managers, if you have 3 idle nominations I am going to assume you are done drafting and choosing to enter the season with <40 men on your roster (which is fine, I am opting to do this as well).
Let me know if any concerns. Thanks-
-
All-
Teams are starting to finish-up drafting, with at least 2 teams completely full and several others at 36+ players.
There are 3 Managers with <30 players on their roster: pitt12panter23, no glove no love, steady diet. In the interest of time, I am going to increase your available nominations to 6. I am also going to reduce the clock to 6/4 so we can hopefully get this draft done before the games tomorrow.
-
I cant nominate because im at 40. And couch manager doesnt allow it

Never mind. I guess nominations are an advantage. Carry on
-
Can Screwball’s nominations be redistributed?
-
ok I have adjusted the clock to 8/4. I also changed the morning resume time to 7a (from
6a, so people wont miss those early morning auctions with the shortened clock).
for those managers that want to enter the season with open spots on the roster, please let me know when you are done drafting so I can keep track. thanks.
-
Either works for me
-
No problem speeding it up, 8/4 or 8/5 sounds fine to me.

8/4 works for me!
-
That sounds great to me
-
Yea, I’ll make change shortly. I am in transit now.
How does 8/4 sound? Too fast for folks?
-
I'm into a speedier clock.
-
Yeah let’s ramp up this clock
-
getting close to the home stretch here guys. know its been a long draft process, but lets keep getting those nominations up.
will reevaluate the clock again this weekend. thanks.
-
pretty tepid response to changing the clock. going to make it 10/6 for now and see how that changes the pace. happy to move it in further if people like.
-
I kinda like the 12/6, but am fine if people want to change. I would advocate for pushing the night pause one hour later if anything. But also, pretty flexible at this point.

Yeah I like 8/6
-
I’m good with that
-
Happy to reduce the clock a little bit if we want, just want to be cognizant not to make it too quick though (again, different work/life schedules, time zones, etc.).
We are at 12/6 now. We could move it to 8/6 if people like.
-
Another option I think, and I'm not 100% on this one, is u can pass. And if everyone ends up passing besides the current high bid, I think it just drafts the player to that team. Again not 100% on that one. But could be an idea for real dollar days type picks.

I don’t think it automatically nominates for you. If so, most efficient way to stay on top of your nominations is to keep track of who you nominated and be ready to be on couch managers when they go off the clock. That’s what I’ve been trying to do while working… I’ll get back on at the time I anticipate my previous nominations being completed.
-
I'm all for reducing the clock, but has anyone figured out how to auto-nominate picks from queue? I can queue, but they don't automatically pick.
-
Now that we are getting into smaller dollar amounts, any thoughts on reducing the auction clock further?

Hi Guys-
A soft reminder for folks to log-in to Couch Managers and check nominations. As of now, 9/36 nominations (or 25%) are idle.
There has obviously been some start and stop and people's nominations were changed, so all good. Just want to make sure we continue to move things forward here and get done with the draft efficiently.
thanks-
-
All- I believe everyone now should have gotten 3 nominations allocated to them since the reset, which means that we are back to where we started in that respect.
If you do not believe you have been given 3 nominations let me know ASAP. (A good way to check is to click on the players - you can see who they were nominated by.)
thanks
-
all- as players start coming-off the board, I am going to start allocating nominations to different teams so we can ultimately end-up back where we started, with each team having 3 noms. to keep things moving, I am going to prioritize whatever teams are in the draft room as the nominations become available.
kindly take a look to see if you've been given a nomination and if so, please put up a player so we can keep things moving. thanks
-
ok now we should be good. play ball-
-
I actually was going to say I thought you'd locked in Riley, so I'm pretty sure you have the right 36 left now. Thanks for making the best of all the chaos.
-
great, thanks for confirming. i was move Ragans to your squad.
so thats 1 of the 2 players we were missing. i am pretty sure the other player was Austin Riley, who i drafted for $37 right before things went down. i will add him to my team for $37 and then nominate Bowden Francis and Jeimer Candelario, and then we should be back to where we were.
-
Mine is pretty close to right. I believe I had Witt $67, Chisholm $30, Crochet $38, deGrom $28, Sale $28, Ragans $24, Nola $16. So basically just adding Ragans.
-
ok we are live folks. happy bidding (again)
-
yea, probably right. i am going to assume that because i heard from 11 managers about their players that Triples is Best roster is correct (because if someone else had Jazz or Sale or deGrom they'd say so).
the draft will restart at 8p, at which point i will nominate 36 of the players that i know were in-process when things went down. sorry for the headache on a saturday night, hopefully smooth sailing from here.
-
I don't think there's gonna be any way to account for auctions in progress. Might as well just have everyone re-nominate.
-
mason miller, josh hader, ryan helsley, spencer strider, dylan cease, max fried, frambler valdez, cole ragans, michael king, spencer schwellenbach, robert suarez, bailey ober, ryan pepiot, carlos rodon, christopher sanchez, bowden francis
-
the players that i have as being auctioned are as follows. please let me know if you know for certain that the auction for one of these players finished:
kyle tucker, austin riley, bryce harper, jackson chourio, kyle shwarber, jackson merrill, matt olson, oneil cruz, wyatt langford, junior caminero, yanier diaz, ozzie albies, matt chapman, alex bregman, bo bichette, jake burger, luis arraez, royce lewis, zach neto, triston casas, luis garcia jr, jeimer candelario

I was just going to do the initial nomination of the players that were on the board when things went down and then after that, would reset it so people have 3 nominations each.
although now that I am looking at it, I have down that 38 players were being bid on when things went down, which is impossible as the max number of players up for auction at any one time is 36. that means that at least 2 players from my list were actually drafted before the site went down, but i have no wa

Do you have a list as to who we should nominate (i.e. the auctions that were running when we crashed), or we just doing whatever players we want?

I know folks are anxious to get restarted. giving the new draft time settings will be in effect, I am going to restart the draft at 8p est. that will give us 2 hours tonight to bid on the players that were up for auction when the site crashed, there will then be a pause overnight until 6a, and then the draft will resume. remember, players will now be on the clock for a minimum of 12 hours so with the overnight pause, anyone nominated tonight will go off the board no earlier than 4p tomorrow.
-
giving Triple's is Best time to respond here both make sure his team looks right and confirm he sees that we are about to restart the draft. dont want him (or anyone) missing the first round of bidding after the restart.
re: players that were up for auction when the site crashed, I believe all we can do is start the draft with those players nominated and we will just have to restart the bidding on them. not sure there is any other way to handle that.
-
that would leave the Triples is Best with:
- Bobby Witt Jr
- Jazz Chisholm Jr
- Chris Sale
- Garrett Crochet
- Jacob deGrom
- Aaron Nola
let me know if that looks right when you see this (also, pretty good pitching staff...)
