• We are going to have a team available at the end of this year. I'll give you guys first crack at referring a friend before I put it out on Twitter and slack. Any new teams, like renewals, must pay by 10 days after the end of the World Series. Would like to get this filled soon so that the new owner can participate fully in arbitration and all other off-season stuff. Thanks.

• Because it's being used to create cap space to stream players. If you're competing and near the cap and can add/drop a $14 penalty to make it $7 you can burn through a few cheap but hot pitchers.

• Yes, cap penalties should stick until the end of season, or until another team is willing to pay the price to pick up your mistake. 1/2 salary is enough forgiveness, in my opinion.

• I agree. However, this has been going on all year, with multiple teams doing it. It's a loophole that should probably be closed. But it has been happening regularly all year. Check the transaction logs.

• If you continuously add and cut players, it reduces your salary penalty for that player by half each time.

• I would be happy to provide the Commish power to impose full original salary penalty every time a player is add-cut, but hopefully that loophole will get closed by Niv this offseason. Plan to bring it up immediately after this year is over, and mid54 already has before on slack.

• I've done that 2-3 times this year. I started doing it after I saw a number of other teams do it to clear cap space. I thought we had established last year that it was debatable, but then watched other teams do it.
