• So Whirling Darvhishes is out of the country and can only manage a draft on a Friday or Saturday night. Our highest hit rate would be a total of 6 at 7 PM on March 8th. With that said, I highly doubt that we can find a draft time this year.

• I'm not a fan of live drafts. Always, SOMEONE can't make it. Last year I said in advance I couldn't, but the draft went on. The auction method allows every one to look at the grid when they have time. Nobody gets left out.

• Lets vote on it. I'd suggest that one of the commissioners should e-mail the league and suggest everyone register their opinion on the message board by end of week. If we can get a majority for opening the draft lets start next week.

• We have two commissioners now because of how unbearable it was to organize a live draft. It was like herding cats, except one of the cats gets grumpy and releases his whole team one by one for spite. I love live drafts too, but I vote auction.

• I came in during the time Demon Seed mentioned, and I thought it was a better system. I love a draft, but I think going straight to an auction saves everybody a bunch of time. You can check the board for players as your time permits.

• There aren't many teams left from the original 12, but for the first couple of years we went straight to auctions because we couldn't organize a draft. We had some informal rules on not nominating too many players at once and it worked out pretty well.
