• Sort of. For instance, you could start a bunch of auctions that will leave you over your cap / roster limit and win them all. Once you do that, the system will probably block you from doing anything until the issue is resolved or you cut a player though.

• The extra roster spot doesn't become available until a player is officially put on the DL by their MLB team. They've been talking about this on slack and ottoneu gets it's DL information from Rotowire, which seems to update pretty quickly. The problem is that a lot of teams don't make the official move until just before the season starts.

• Yes, but it would require commish intervention since we're past the keep/cut deadline. Since there's no league rule in place I guess the best thing to do is say "tough luck" and suggest a league after the season ends. I only got the idea when someone suggested in in a FG article.

• I'd do it if a majority of the league wanted a rule allowing cuts of injured players that happen before the draft. Don't know what the chances of that are though. On the bright side, you won't have the cap hit for long. Someone is bound to grab and stash him.
