Congrats to Leury's Legends on taking the title! Thanks to everyone for playing this year! I'll send out some updates as we move into the offseason phase and instructions on what to do with arbitration and cutting players. If anyone doesn't plan on playing again next year, let me know and we'll start looking for replacements.

Yeah it's 48 hours. I don't think there's anything I can do about changing that now but we can look into it for next season

What is the waiting period for league approval on trades? I'd vote for 24 hours over 48 if those are the settings.

That's right. After arbitration and before the keeper deadline, there's no penalty for cutting players and trades can be made.

Thank you for the response. And in that time, post-arbitration, pre-keeper deadline, can you drop players without any salary cap penalty?

From what I found in the Community and what I remember from last year - arbitration begins in mid-October and runs until November 15, when everyone on your roster will be allotted their new salary. After that, you have until January 31 to determine who you are keeping and to make sure your roster is under the salary cap. From that point until our draft, no additional roster changes can be made.

Does anyone know when the offseason calendar (arbitration, keeper dates, etc.) gets updated? - Not to say that I'm throwing in the towel for 2022...but I am starting to plan ahead.

Cap Space question again. I'm sorry, guys. I'm confused by this. I understand the concept, but the actual execution of it is confusing.
I'm trying to drop a player or two to clear up cap space. My roster IS valid. I have bids on other players. But when I try and cut someone, I get this message...
Your roster would not be valid.
You would have $3 available cap space
You would have 6 available roster spots
My roster IS currently valid, but by the numbers, shouldn't b

That's my understanding. Is there a player out there you can't find? If you check the Rules page, then the FAQs, there's a question regarding the player pool. They have a link to the Community page where you can suggest a player to be added.

Thanks, guys. No worries. It is what it is. I wanted Darvish. I got him. Since I didn't know the rules as well as I should have, I'm paying for it. That's fine. It's just a game. :-) I can take the L this week and I'll learn from my over-exuberance. If someone could go and claim Soler, that would help. LOL.

Brood X is right. You'll have to cut enough players so that you have $1 left for every open spot up to 40. For each player you cut, their salary will count against you for half the amount until they're claimed by someone else. So if you cut someone with a $10 salary, $5 will still count as a penalty for now. And as Brood said, cutting $1 players won't help, since that $1 will count against you as a penalty

Also for new platers, getting close to $400 can be tricky making roster moves. Any player cut at $1 will count $1 against your cap and can leave you with not enough to cover your roster.

You have to have at least $1 available for every empty roster slot. So you need to cut down to $393 at least to cover your 7 open spots.

well damn. I meant to put $4 on O.Miller, and ended up putting it on Calhoun, and I miscalculated by $1 meaning I had to cut an someone else. . .decided to let Darvish go to make some cap space. Have at him.

Speaking of the draft - does anyone have an issue with the date/time we currently have setup? As of now, the draft will be held next Monday at 7 ET. Let me know if that doesn't work for anyone and we can try and find a different date/time.

I think I unlocked each of the teams that need to cut players to get under the salary cap. These teams are currently in red in the standings. Please take the time to get your roster under the salary limits. Also, I currently have the draft set for April 4 but that's just a placeholder for now. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions for a date/time or if there is a time that doesn't work.

Clowns was claimed earlier today. The remaining open teams are Wander Years, Bo Knows, Oatmeal, and B Wave. From the main Dashboard page, there is a link to Claim a Team, and he should see our teams listed there. You can also send me his user name and I can assign one of the teams to him.
