DD and BB, I love the drama. The fight for last place. My guess is DD wins hands down.

The OPL is best ball format so I'm willing to move my IL/ML players for players that are actively playing. I am focused on MI after Swanson, Drury and Estrada just got hurt, but interested in any solid active players. Let me know if you're interested in working out a trade today. Thanks
-
Howdy everyone - hope everyone has had a good first half of the season and is enjoying the all star break. Foor those who may not know, my roster has also been competing in Ottoneu's OPL league. I just made the cut for the final 32 head to head tournament. The OPL takes a snapshot of my roster at 4AM ET on July 12 and uses that for the rest of the tournament. So I am looking to make trades in the next 20 hours before that snapshot

Looking to move Trout for pennies on the dollar.

We dropped down just to teabag you on the way back up! Did you have a chance to look up? We’re standing right over you on your big uptick. Sorry we hurt your feelings!! Good Luck

How does trading assets for injured players help benefit the league?
Seems like it would have an effect on the standings.
-
The only direction you're team is going is Down
-
Think where you’d be if you didn’t give away $50 and George Springer. You’re hoping to gain confidence in your eradicate decisions by tracking fantasy baseball stats. Meanwhile if you observe we’ve traded away for injured players assets that will help us climb our SBs/Rs categories. You should change your name again so we forget what team you are again so we don’t remember who to go back and clown later. Let’s be intelligent not a day trader on a fantasy wire
-
Wow look at that. Slob is down 20 points for the month. The most points lost in the league. And look at Bensonhurst Bombers
Up nine and a half points. The biggest gain of the month. Now who's destroying the league?
-
Glad to hear your opinion even if it changes like the wind! The use of “we” was plural since there are two Slob Managers. Not the all encompassing we of the league. Wishing all the Dads a belated Happy Father’s Day. Keep it Classy
-
You don't have to reach out Commish! We already reached out to you after your trade. We are not shaming just making it very clear that we are calling attention. Nobody in this league has time to collect 7 vetoes. We are fine if Billy wants to take risky trades. But when it affects the outcome of the league standings meanwhile the integrity of the league then you start losing contributing members of the league.
-
Finally, Billy, I am sorry that our trade was accepted by mistake without you fully reading the details. I appreciate that you sucked it up, but its not how I like to make trades happen. Unfortunately it is now too late for me to do anything about it. If something similar happens in the future, please let me know within the trade processing window. Despite my "no mistakes" policy, I think that if both owners involved in a trade tell me right away that a mistake was made, it makes sense
-
That being said, in light of the feelings expressed here, my recent change in how I handle "mistakes", and other potential league concerns that I hope aren't festering, I plan to reach out to each owner individually (or provide an anonymous survey) in the near future. Please feel free to let me know any concerns you may have with the league or suggestions for improvements. I can't promise that I can address everything, but I will do what I can to ensure that everyone is enjoying the le

While I love friendly smack talking, I take major issue with public trade shaming or similar. It creates a negative atmosphere that sours the league. I've witnessed other leagues devolve from friendly competition to non-stop petty bickering and don't want to see that happen here. If someone takes issue with something, I encourage you to reach out to the person and work through it. You can involve me if I can help. This is just a game and it should be fun - otherwise why are we doing it?
-
Any time a trade is accepted, each owner can vote to allow or veto the trade within the 24-hour processing period (a year or so ago we reduced from 48 to 24 hours). If there are 7 vetoes, the trade will not go through. I encourage everyone to consider the same approach to vetoes as I take as commissioner - veto if there is foul play, not because you disagree with what another owner thinks is in their best interest or for competitive reasons. But to each their own and majority rules on this
-
Hello - a few things as commissioner (please excuse the fact that I do not have time to craft a more eloquent response as I would prefer - slammed at work today but want to interject ASAP): As commissioner, I have the ability to nullify trades. I don't intend to ever nullify a trade unless I can prove collusion or some nefarious action such as someone intentionally messing with the league's integrity. I believe we are all adults and acting in what we believe to be the best interest of our team
-
I guess 11 is your lucky #! Closers are where you need to start they are the hardest to come by not to say Evan Phillips will be your savior in the future but I am positive you could have gotten better than McCutchen in dynasty league. He's a great player to target if you're rebuilding for the future. Go add Mickey Moniak you're sitting their rocking Bleday. My last trade offer was better than your last two trades and to be honest it was sent as a joke if you read the comments! Jokes ON Who?
-
I'm in 11th place with 11 saves. I don't need a closer. I need hitting.
Make me a better offer.
Not the nonsense you tried to send me in your last trade offer.
-
Well at least you admit the first trade was a mistake and then you go on with similar behavior. That's why we are calling you out. I wouldn't dare to think you were trying to collude against the league. That would be a egregious to think you're toiling with the sanctity of a fantasy league. Only thing you're demonstrating is 2nd to last place behavior and you're projection is only further into the toilet. Forge ahead!!
-
I admit the trade with darvish was a mistake. We had been tossing ideas around and when I received the offer I accepted it before I noticed the $50. And I noticed the $50 I never would have accepted that trade.
But that's life you have to take the good with the bad and forge ahead. Like that like they say there's no use crying over spilled milk.
-
I'm not going to comment on my trade, since I have a personal interest in it. I just want to make a comment on the veto part of this. I don't think Darvish or the league should be vetoing trades because they seem "unfair". I think the only legitimate thing to veto is if there is collusion happening, because that is absolutely unfair for everyone in the league. My trade, or the Darvish trade where he received a cash injection may seem unfair, but I don't think there was any collusion,
-
I have 11 saves I traded a closer to a team that had 21 saves. I'm catching all kinds of grief for that?
-
The commissioner has the power to void any trades he thinks are unreasonable. Teams also have the ability to veto trades.
-
McCutchin having a good year
He went 3/4 tonight.
-
NO because you just gave up a closer which is the hardest position to fill for a retired pirate that is outputting the same value as any other OF on the waiver wire. Also, you just paid $20 over asking price to give away decent starters for nobodies. You gave the 2x champ that everyone else is competing with funds to play with on the waiver wire. C'Mon Man!
-
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 why because I rejected your lame trade proposals.

-
Finally, please let me know if there are any disagreements with this change. I am not making this change with anyone specifically in mind and I hope no offense is taken as none is intended. I just feel that as the number of mistakes needing to be reversed has increased, this change is appropriate for the betterment of the league. Of course, if there is overwhelming response that the league prefers it as it was, that is fine too. Just trying to do the best for all of us. Thank you
-
Therefore, for the rest of the season (and then we'll reevaluate), I am going to stop reversing moves or fixing mistakes. All moves are final. Please doublecheck before you make a move. Feel free to ask me or the league (or Ottoneu) for clarification, if needed, prior to making a move.
-
Most, but not everyone, has been on board with my reversing moves when it appears there has been an honest mistake. As commissioner, I need to honor the view points of everyone in the league. Additionally, I have had to go to Ottoneu a few times already this year to undo moves that I couldn't. For those that have the rosters also competing in the Ottoneu Prestige League, there is potential that the manner with which we are running the league could come into question.....
-
To date I have been happy to allow a certain amount of grace to those who have indicated to me that they made a move by mistake. Most of the league has been on board with this approach when I have asked periodically. However, moving forward I am going to need to need to adjust the approach. This is not specifically the result of the Luis Ortiz auction, but the cumulative effect of having reversed a few moves already this season....
-
Hello - after yesterday's auction for Luis Ortiz closed, Aces informed me that he thought he was bidding on the Luis Ortiz that just got called up for the Pirates. I also reached out to the only other bidder (Slob) and he told me the same thing. Both bidders thought they were bidding on a different player. I am going to undo the auction. Follow-up message forthcoming

Aces, you almost lost another pitcher to injury. Unlucky trade for Vin

I know I'm in 11th place. But it's only April. Don't offer me any trades that you wouldn't make yourself. I'm not giving up yet.

Hello - Slob approached me after the Hoskins waiver claim. He thought he was nominating him for auction at half the price, not claiming him at $9. I thought I could release him back to waivers with the understanding Slob would nominate him for auction if he cleared waivers as he had initially intended. However, it appears that he just went into the player pool for $0. I am reaching out to Ottoneu to put Hoskins back on waivers at $9. Please let me know if any issues
