I believe rosters "lock" 5 minutes before the start of a players game, so since the trade occurred after that, the points should stay with your team.
-
Rules question - Shane Bieber pitched a gem on my roster yesterday. Today, a trade was processed and he moved to anther team. Do Shane's points count for me this week, or for Deep State?
-
looking to trade either brian anderson or GIO THE YANKEE if anyone needs a 3rd baseman

-
Sure thing! The rules are rather lengthy, so easy to miss haha!
-
Ah thanks. Thought I remembered reading that, but must have skimmed too quickly when trying to look for it this time around.
-
So, yep, 10 GS cap still.
-
From the rules:
C. In regular season H2H games longer than one week (for example, the first matchup of the season and around the All-Star Break), the GS cap will be the same as it is for regular one week matchups
D. In two-week playoff games, the GS cap will reset at the end of the first week and before the second week begins on the second Monday in the matchup
-
Does the 10 GS cap apply to the first week, even though it is a few extra days?
-
Yeah I did not anticipate getting both RPs...Sale was going to be a cut for me regardless.
-
Interesting strategy Deep State

I am the coinflip

Two more days! Hopefully no one else breaks anything before then or gets randomly demoted to AAA...

Spring training needs to end! Stop the injuries!! (I feel your pain with Gallen and Carrasco)

Lineups look odd with bad start times - there is a thread about it in the community (below) but be careful setting lineups too early...
https://community.ottoneu.com/t/game-times-on-the-lineups-page-are-not-correct/8964
-
You just start the opener in SP and then the follower in RP
-
Does anyone know about how an opener works with this league? since both types of pitchers can be started in either category they just need to be in an appropriate role, I'm curious if an opener screws all that up?
-
gunna cut leclerc tomorrow if anyone wants to jump the line and hold him let me know
-
Yes itβs just a way to organize.
-
Does anyone know what the "Minors" roster slots are for? It doesn't appear to change anything other than visually - perhaps functionality is there because it matters in other formats? Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything
-
It appears lineups are working. I was able to set mine this morning
-
Sorry all, slow on trade response this weekend, had a lot to do
-
theres a thread on the front page addressing that H2H leagues arent able to set lineups because they're having trouble generating the schedules for them. should be up sometime this week. Been using the roster organizer in the mean time if it helps visualize for ya
-
IN MY OTHJER LEAGUE you could set line up right away...it doesnt make sense that we cant set line up...their must be a setting error

Okay, cool. I will work on my trade block at some point today.

Yes, everyone can see.

I believe everyone can see based on my experience.

I'm always looking to trade, and for reference subscribe to the "nobody is untouchable" philosophy. Does anyone know, on the trade block, if you select players you're interested in, does that broadcast to everyone, or can only the people who own those players see that?
-
My trade block is updated as well.

Deep State, I am willing to trade and have posted some of my wish list on the Trade Block. To be completely frank, I am willing to trade other players too just for the right price.

got some good late depth if anyone went too prospect heavy and want to upgrade. likewise if someone wants to do middle of the field for an outfielder or something I'm here for all of it
-
Who wants to trade?
-
The schedule isn't updated yet. There's some threads about it in the community. Should be within the next few days!
-
Yes, I can't set my lineup either. Everything is grayed out.

Okay, I will do my best to answer these questions:
1. If you claim a cut player, within 24 hours, you claim at the full salary. the rest of your question is correct.
2. It is blind bidding with no FAAB--it is whatever is left with your $400
3. Yes.
4. You can put anyone in those IL spots, however, only the 60-day IL spot creates a roster spot for you. All players on IL still count against your salary cap. Same for suspended players.
-
4) There is an IL, but only for 60-Day candidates. Salary counts against cap, but roster spot does not. Same for suspended players?
-
Couple of quick questions/clarifications:
1) Dropping a player puts them on waivers at their current salary - no waiver claim leaves 50% of that salary on the dropping team's roster, and any subsequent bidding on that player must start at that 50% value, correct?
2) Per V.b, I assume the bidding is a blind bid submission? All using our $400 salary cap, right...ie no FAAB.
3) Waiver claims are similarly blind as FA bids (but obviously, a claim, not a bid)
-
Another thing to note: players on the 60 day IL will count against your roster during the draft. Basically, no one can draft more than 40 players, but then immediately after the draft, you will get the extra roster spots available.
-
the rules are very important guys....ive learned from playing in my other lg...you get penilized money when you cut a player...also if you go over budget, your roster is locked and you wont be able to change your line-up....then to get under budget youll wind up cutting a player you dont want to.....just be careful...and its a lot of fun

I'm OK with anything. I generally stay up pretty late normally (Midnight/1 am) and am in CT. I'm new, so not sure if we have any West Coasters or not, but even fine with pulling forward if that makes it easier for anyone.
-
I'd be ok with that, or alternatively, we could aim to stop halfway through to avoid either night going too late (e.g. stop after ~240 players or so, or less since I'm assuming the later 1$ bid players take less time).

Any chance we can stop the draft after 3 hours on Wednesday? That would be midnight on the East Coast.

i did a draft last week...it took about 7 hours,,,,once you filll your team...you have to wait around for regular draft after auction part is done...you make like another additional 6-8 picks if i remember correctly....but its real involved, very interesting

Think i'm the last guy in. Let's get this rolling.
-
Yea, 8 hours total is probably about average, but first year drafts can range from 6-7 hours to as long as 10. Just depends on the draft
-
Probably more like 3-4 hours on night 1, with the rest being night 2. My understanding is that these startup drafts can take a while because of the deeper rosters. But yes, that's the basic idea.

Hi all. Just joined the league. New to Ottoneu, but have been in keeper leagues, as well as my main league, an 11 year running Dynasty league at CBS. Looking forward to auction next week - how is it being split? Something like 1-2 hours, then finish the next night?
