the cap space i ahve built up to pursue free agent targets and build a strong foundation for the future. it might backfire as my prospects might suck but this is my angle. i will trade anyone on my team that is expensive or old for younger players.

I've maxed out my catcher for the year. I'm willing to move Molina now but not for cheap.

If anyone has a 1B to trade, let me know. I don't have one that isn't on the DL or in AAA.
-
I appreciate that.
-
if noone outbids me i'll trade him back to you for nothing/1 dollar

Wow, I can't get Heston back for a month. I guess have at it people.
-
what the fuck. I'm in my phone and accidentally dropped Heston. hope no one is a douche and takes him..
-
Plus one is done at catcher and the other only has less than 10 games left. So it's far from over...lot of baseball left

They can be caught very easy as they both are way over on innings pitched

Slump and Jhoulys are running away with this league. I don't think they will be caught. Seems like they will fight for #1 until the end. Myself and Four Horsemen will decide bronze.

If any contenders need 1B, 3B or a big util bat down the stretch I have a glut of players in Texiera, Howard, Thome at 1B/Util or Moustakas, Middlebrooks, Reynolds at 3B, all of whom are available.
-
Anyone need a catcher? Arencibia for a MI or RP - anything considered
-
If you're looking for a piece to go for a run this year, let me know. Won't say no to any player if the offer is right. But some will cost you.
-
It depends on quality of each inning pitched since there is a very low innings max limit.

I almost think you are better off having middle relievers rather than closers.

Justin, just curious, if you want young keepable salaries then why are you going to deal Kennedy? He's 28, an ace, and you have him for $9.

Pitching for trade

I'd like to note that, today, there were no fantasy points from R.A. Dickey. All 84 points from his 1-hit shutout were wasted because he was traded just prior to the first pitch.
-
6 position players 15-day DL, 1 position player on 60-day DL, 1 pitcher on 15-day DL, 1 pitcher on 60-day DL. There's a metric just waiting to be created here.
-
Have injuries been as devasting for anyone else this season as they have been for me? For me right now - Position players: 3 on 60 day DL and 3 on 15. Pitchers: 3 on 15 day DL. This is just asburd.

Sydney Australia's trading block has been updated!

What, you don't know his jock size? Where are you getting your scouting reports?
-
Sounds like since you know his astrological sign and maybe even his jock size you should keep him for yourself. I'd rather have the prospects. Good luck though.
-
I'm looking for 2 prospects for Dickey, one top prospect and another really good prospect. Prospects are never a sure thing, but Dickey is at least for this season. If you're a contender, that probably ups his value for you.
-
Well, listening to him in this interview (http://www.npr.org/2012/04/10/150283169/winding-up-as-the-mets-knuckleball-pitcher), he says he doesn't get sore, pulls himself from games when his stuff just isn't there (which is rarely lately).
-
Correct, Knuckleballers normally don't break down as much as a normal pitcher BUT you have to remember Dickey throws much harder then a normal knuckleballer. He won't have the longevity of Wakefield (whom is an exception anyway) unless he switches speed
-
Sorry, not projected value. Estimated value (i.e., the value of his actual performance, not expected performance).
-
And, fangraphs had Wakefields projected value from 38-45 at $60. That's $7.5 per year for 8 years. Knuckleballers don't break down like your typical hurler. It's a fact.
-
You're right, he's 38 and a knuckleball pitcher. Who could we compare him to? Wakefield maintained his effectiveness until he was 45 (WAR > 2.0) http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=219&position=P#value
-
Yup, Dickey can break down at any minute. No one is going to trade you a ransom for him. He may be a top 15 pitcher at the moment, but how long can that last?
