  And yeah, if you release MiLB in season you have to promote first (no idea why you would do this), which would make them ineligible for future MiLLB drafts. But I think releasing directly from MiLB during the offseason is int he spirit of "penalty free" cuts.

• I finally remembered why we make owners promote milb players before releasing them. It's so they are added to your released players list. That's so owners can't bid on them for 30 days. Which I think is fair. I would like to go back to that rule but I'd be happy to listen to any objections to it.
