An elite closer or good starter. Alway interested in overpriced studs as well.

Hoping to trade one of my catchers for an elite closer. Willson Contreras is posting 7PPG. That's going to come down a little of course, but he's been maintaining a high level of production the whole season and at $10 he has great value.

I wish that I could take credit for that as a deliberate choice. I didn't get around to setting my lineups until later in the day and rushed through without noticing that he was pitching, so he just stayed in the util slot.

Nice work by Kick-butt Grandmas in playing Ohtani as a hitter today. Yankees at home are a tough matchup for any pitcher.

Thanks. I mainly wanted an expectation set rather than anyone to be penalized. We saw Trout won last year and some tough cuts were made to validate the roster, so it's only fair that we have have the same expectation with that grey area.

Cuts have been made. My opinion is let's not get ridiculous about having invalid rosters for extended times and also don't get in the habit of relying on someone claiming/starting auctions for your cuts to get valid.

Bad time of season for a roster to be frozen. But I agree that the valid-roster rule does apply.

I'm going to throw it out there, but my opinion's been that if you add a player that puts your roster in an invalid state, you should be making cuts to resolve the issue unless there is a PENDING transaction(s) that resolves it. Just sitting on an invalid roster assuming someone nominates your cuts seems like it goes against rule 1c. It's easy to assume DeGrom will be nominated soon, but this will probably come up again with names not as cut and dried.

I notice the poll doesn't have times, but on weeknights, I'd vote for later (9pm EST or later). On weekends, I'm flexible.

I just wanted to say with Trout's auction ending today this league doesn't have any guidelines about invalid rosters however if you have the winning bid for Trout try to make some timely cuts and not have an invalid roster for a significant time.

I forgot to mention that our slow draft has started! 15 hour auctions with 6 hour resets while utilizing couch managers sleep mode from Midnight to 9:00 AM.
