Welcome! I dunno if Joe filled you in on this but there's actually a yearly beauty contest that factors into the scoring.
-
Welcome! Glad to have you. We run the allocation system here, so be sure to get your money out there.

Niv has been emailed about the change. I'll reach out to owners to see who is officially in for next season.

i'm probably okay either way with the arb system... but agree did make decisions based on current arb system. i think the new one is more interesting long term

Detroit Ligers's trading block has been updated!
-
like I have not heard squat from MBP or UW in a long time
-
also can we get some kind of roll call on active, responsive owners?
-
OK, last call. I'll be emailing Niv tomorrow to make the change. Thanks to everyone for chiming in.

I'd like to try the new system, but would not be particularly upset if we did one more season of the old.
-
Either way is fine with me.

I prefer the new system, but I could understand holding off.

Given that most have been in favor, I'm happy to switch. But given the timing, I think a few strong voices against might be enough to keep our current system for another year.

I'm split personally: I know that I made choices this season and last based on the current arb system. But I agree this new system sounds much more interesting.

Oops, sorry. So ah, sorry for being MIA the last six weeks. I understand that there is enthusiasm for the new arb system. Are there any dissenting voices?

would be my strong preference
-
also i thought we were using the new system?
-
arb voting is out of whack for babip avengers
-
also let's have a buy-in next year w/ different payouts for at least first, second and third. the last couple years i've treated 2nd-12th as worth the same
-
so do we have any remaining deadwood that needs clearing out? everyone in for the offseason/next year?
-
when in a SP slot I mean
-
no more SP/RP's getting points for relief innings... good

It's been a great year with you guys. However, because school is taking up more and more of my time, I'm going to quit the league after the season ends. It's been a pleasure gentlemen.

*allocating $300 across every team's payroll, I mean
-
I don't know what kind of anarchic situation this would cause but I wonder if it would be good for teams to be able to subtract money from some players' salaries in order to be able to add more than $25
-
Yeah, I see your point. Still, I think allocating $300 to every team's payroll accomplishes basically the same thing.
-
I just like that the voting off mechanism forces a "free agency" type component to the game. I'd actually be in favor of both simultaneously.
-
Darvish was just intended to be an example.Good deal vs error due to format are mostly the same, and the point of the game compile as many of these as you can.
-
Also, one man's egregious error is another man's good value--I don't think Darvish at $3 or whatever is any more of an issue than Mike Trout at $13, or whatever other undervalued guy you want to bring up
