I'm a little concerned about blind auctioning that considering we're all creating new values for players, it's hard to adjust if your values are wrong. Someone whose values are too low could conceivably get shutout of the first two days of acquisitions before catching on. In a standard auction it's pretty clear after the first so many stud starters or OF go what the market is. In the blind auction you might not know until it's too late to acquire one.

I'd prefer not to have playoffs.

Okay, for extra $20 deposit should we just extend a year? I'm assuming that's what we do, but please confirm.
As to the auction, I think we could all handle 40 or even 60 players up at a time. That would shrink the time needed. But I'm happy doing whatever.

So 800 players would be owned at any time. Would need 40 days of auction activity if each team gets to nom one player per day. Thereβs time to do that but league would need to be filled quickly.

I think βnoβ on playoffs probably. Something we could add in the future

Do we want playoffs?

FYI the league fee is $20 but we need a deposit for year 2 as well. This deposit covers the league fee for a substitute owner should you abandon your team.

FYI we will NOT use the normal auction mechanism, rather we will use the standard in-season silent auction feature of Ottoneu (48 hours to bid on a player after nomination). Let's set some rules about nominating so we're not bombarded by 2000 MLB players hitting the auction at the same time. Stay tuned.
