Commish, I know you've said it 3029848 times but i forget, where is the MiLB sheet located on here?
-
Hopefully my last ever #1 in the MiLB draft!
-
πππ
-
Correct. I'll have to reverse the auction of any MiLB to return them to the player pool if there are any MiLB eligible players auctions started, which is kind of a pain in the ass, so please don't do it. :)
-
No auctions of minor leaguers until the MiLB draft is over right?
-
Late to the party, but I am also good keeping the draft schedule as is.
-
Okay, that's five votes plus mine--so half the league--for keeping the draft at 9pm. We'll begin promptly at 9pm. See you all then!
-
Same, would rather as scheduled
-
dvr, vcr , you tube, wife , cat, dog or fish can watch, proceed on time, as scheduled, as previously voted on ! lol thanks

I'd prefer to keep the draft as is.

It's already gonna take longer than the two hours we have scheduled, I think. Watch it while we draft. Or better yet, ignore it. It won't be the truth anyway...

As great as Trump may be, I doubt he is gonna announce a cure tonight, so my vote is to record the State of the Virus speech and let's do this thing. Or better yet, have your wife watch it and fill you in on any important details. Oh, and wash your hands!
-
I've received an inquiry about whether or not to delay the start of the auction tonight because the president will be addressing the country tonight at 9pm EST. In the interest of getting the draft done as early as possible this evening, I'd prefer not to do that. But if people feel strongly about wanting to watch the address live, I suppose it's something we can discuss. Does anyone else want to delay until 9:30pm?
-
Haha, my money might be on your squad right now ... I got a lotta work to do at the auction.
-
I'm coming for you this year, Mama's! Unfinished business lol

Only two days to draft day, looking forward to it guys!
-
Sounds good to me, thanks!
-
Let's do it after the primary auction before the start of the MiLB draft.
-
I assume with no ruling on cutting MiLB prospects ... we are putting that off until before the MiLB draft? Fine either way, just wanted to check with cut deadline approaching.
-
Just a reminder that the keeper and renewal deadlines are coming up on Friday, 01/31/20.
-
i'm good with that
-
Sounds good. Thanks commish!
-
Works for me
-
Thanks to everyone who has filled out the poll. There is one date that works for everybody: Wednesday, March 11th from 9-11pm EST. Any objections to that time?
-
I'm totally agnostic on whether we have to make MiLB cuts before or after the auction. Our league constitution (http://bestdamn5x5dynastyever.simplesite.com/) doesn't speak to it, so I think the best thing to do would be to hold a league vote on it if people feel strongly about it.
-
LOL, a link to the new poll would be helpful: https://doodle.com/poll/at65rhhgb89vzixz
-
I would prefer to keep the MiLB cuts in line with the major league cuts, unless it's already been agreed upon by the league. I typically use this article as a guideline for ottoneu mlib rules, thttps://fantasy.fangraphs.com/ottoneu-101-the-5milb-structure/

Whereβs the poll?
-
Thanks for being flexible, LJ. I've created another Doodle poll for every Tuesday-Friday night in early to mid-March (I can't do Mondays). Please fill it out and indicate your team name. It would be great if we could nail down a date for this so we can all plan around it. MiLB supplemental will be a slow draft that will start afterwards. Also, if you're not going to be returning, please, please, please let me know ASAP so we can find a replacement.
-
My schedule is pretty unpredictable during the week, so I can't really say any specific day/dates that work. But, I can make a weeknight work so long as I'm given enough time to plan for it. Thanks!
-
Makes sense, thanks commish
-
Rules don't specify a cut day for MiLB cuts. I'm good with waiting until after the draft so people have a full sense of who will be available.
-
LJ, are there any weekday nights that might work for you? Or a particular time window I think that we exhausted the list of possible Weekend Nights that would work and there was widespread preference for a Week Night versus a Weekend Day. Another option would be to do a slow draft. It will depend on how many keepers every has, but this draft won't take nearly as long as the one last year.
-
When do we need to make cuts from the MiLB roster to open spots for the draft? Are we ok to wait until after the regular ottoneu auction?
-
I would prefer not to have the draft on a weeknight if possible
-
I'm good with weeknight auction, as long as have a little time to plan for it
-
I'm OK with any weeknight as long as I have a weeks notice.
-
Auction on a week night works for me.

Good with either too. If I recall we went pretty late for the inaugural draft. If East Coast guys donβt mind starting at 9-10 pm, could probably make some weeknight work.
-
I'm good with weeknights in general, later than 8pm Eastern is best
-
i am open to week night including a Friday 1st two weeks of march of the end of feb

Open to either, depending on the specific day
-
Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a weekend day that works for everyone. So the question now is whether we should try to find a time that works during the day of a weekend or a night of a week day. Any thoughts before putting up another poll?
-
i am good with march 8 or 1st , 22, or 29

I've created a Doodle poll (no sign in required). Please just vote once and indicate your team name so that we know who has weighed in: https://doodle.com/poll/2bz6z82fbyxafwtc

I have a draft already March 15 at 8
-
I can block that one off.
-
Okay. How does Sunday, March 15th at 8pm EST work?
-
Unfortunately the weekend evenings of March 7-8 are bad for me.
-
Hey all, I hope you had a fantastic holidays with family and friends! It's time to schedule the 2020 auction. I was thinking Sunday, March 8 at 8pm EST. Does that work with peoples' schedules? It won't take nearly as long as it did last year (probably about 2 hours) since far fewer players will need to be nominated and many of those will be cheaper guys. We'll do the supplemental MiLB draft following the auction via league chat or Slack. Looking forward to a great 2020!
