Got it. Couldnโt move him to the bench, etc. Had to have an empty starting slot.
-
Capโn, he shows up with that eligibility, but when I click on him nothing in the pitchers opens up. Did you do something particular with him first?
-
I think that's the idea. The thing that's worrisome is that he has a supposedly minor hamstring strain, but hasn't pitched in a month.
-
That Karinchak has some gawdy milb stats, future closer perhaps?
-
I had no problem starting him in FCA, heโs โ1B/SPโ.
-
Any idea on how to get McKay in the starting rotation?
-
With the tax pool north of $200, appears a lot of beer money has already been spent elsewhere... Gotta love this league!
-
Indeed, but it would have taken more than Freddie to save me from that.
-
Yes and you will mail beer to someone and like it
-
Thrilled to get top three 2019 amateur draft picks w/ my Joey Votto money, the other shoe has dropped... add Pearson and that's four premium prospects for Freeman.
-
Besides, $1 prospects aren't finished, you just have to pick the right prospect... I bet I could reel-in Niko Decolati right now for $1.
-
You guys crack me up....
-
Inconceivable
-
Yet, I rode off with the Princess!!

Mikey bested your Spaniard , Mikey bested your Giant

Frankly, I was expecting to have to pay more for Adley. There was a strong consensus in the industry that Adley was the best amateur talent available via draft since Bryce Harper. Hope they're correct (even though Harper is now a POS). Wonder what Wander Franco's salary will be up to in our league by the time he faces his first mlb pitch?
-
Baseball America claims that Adley will be in mlb in 1 year, if they're correct I'm guessing his rookie salary will be substantively lower than Vladito's even though his initial auction price was higher.
-
No, simple sentence ...,mikey bested you
-
Been over for a while, #1 draft pick catcher Rutschman cost the same amount as #2 draft pick catcher Bart cost last season. Apparently the slot $$ for an early 1st round pick in our league is $11... which would roughly equate to $5.5 million in mlb... not far off. Brew, what did you pick-up Vladito at, $1? He was a $20 mlb rookie anyway, so what difference does it make... if a prospect lives up to the hype, that $1 salary will be far in the rear-view mirror in a flash anyway.
-
The days of 1 $ prospects are over, wow
-
Adley Rutschman? Bobby Witt Jr.? Are we auctioning NASCAR drivers now?
-
Well that was crushing. Nursing a 120 point day going into the final innings with both closers on my roster and both closers blow up.
-
BTW, before all the chat board attention to Yamamoto, my bid actually was $4.
-
That bid actually made me laugh out loud. I think it may have been the most ridiculous thing iโve seen in fantasy sports. :)
-
Dang, Mikey, you got me there!! You were the only one I was worried about figuring it out. Imagine my disappointment when I learned the platform wouldn't let me bid the million I wanted to bid.
-
Youโre a toxicologist, surely you can do the whole half-life thing...
-
Sure glad no one bid $998 on Yamamoto, my roster would have been frozen until sometime in 2020.
-
Almost 1,000 pts in 7 days. Hell of a push by Res Ipsa.
-
Joe stole that reference from my postings last year
-
The one aspect of this league I really like over the original is the expanded payout/creative reward system. Suddenly thereโs a reason to stay engaged on a day-to-day basis as though Iโm clearly out of the money, I can still jockey for that โplayer protectionโ group; though Iโm torn between wanting to protect a player from arbitration and wanting to land the sweet spot of the โlocal beerโ slot. At least thereโs no worry of having to buy the beer as Joe appears to have that slot l
-
Joe - nice reference
-
You can clearly not chose the wine in front of you... and you can clearly not chose the wine in front of me... so you've made your decision?
-
True, I could really be bidding the recommended $16, but Brew, it'll cost you $15 to find out. Or maybe I'm now bidding $14 to catch anyone bidding $15 to find out.
-
The intrigue
-
hmm...do we take NGB at face value and lower our bids??? Or do we think its a clever gambit he is playing ?
-
In both cases, I saw/see very little down side in getting stuck with him long enough to see just how much of a fluke he is or isn't... I've got the cash and the roster spots to play with.
-
I bid $9 on Yamamoto in Full Circuit because I would have been glad to see someone pay $10 for him in that economy. I'm bidding $4 in FC Capped because I'd be glad to see someone pay $5 for him in that economy. That's about what I make the differential between the two leagues to be.
-
I'm pretty certain that I don't have to tell Fred that the Cardinals suck.
-
Brew, our two leagues have different economics. As the respective drafts clearly illustrated, just about all players in Full Circuit cost more than they do in Capped FC. Maybe that's not the case for FA auctions, I haven't really paid attention to that. But it could be that using Full Circuit as a price guide for Capped could be disadvantageous. And Vlad, you forgot to plant the seed of doubt that Yamamoto has only faced the Cardinals so far, and apparently they suck.
-
I never said I was above exploiting the hype. I just didn't realize how much hype there was.
-
Vlad, your bid of $6 in Full Circuit must have been a typo, you were missing the 1 in 16.
-
Nicely played, Vlad
-
I'd bid at least that. Just multiply his BABIP by his strand rate and put a dollar sign in front of it. .156 x 100 = $15.6, so $16 seems about right.
-
The problem with 2 leagues , or maybe the benefit depending upon your vantage point, is you can see what someone went for in FA auction then bid someone up. Like Yamamoto, for instance just went high and aggressively bid in other league.
-
$8 in taxes received for a running total of $216 on the year.
-
I would trade Robles ,if someone offered me ONE player of like value, age, salary and upside . Not one of those fucking 3 or 4 guy packages
-
Schissters trying to take advantage
-
i seldom get offered one great for one great trades like that..the offers i get are bag of scraps for one star
-
That Paddack v Alonso trade is fun
