Okay, just wanted to be sure. I think maybe somebody told me that they had interest in Waters from my MILB roster. Just want to be 100% certain I am on the up and up here. Thanks!

Correct u traded him to me for Lynch in the offseason. Feb 22nd was the date on msg board posting. Its in our one on one chat archives too
-
I thought I had Waters? Or did I trade him for Lynch? Or include him a deal this season? Sorry, but I think I have been offering him in trades :) Just need clarification.

Big Papi has acquired 10MiLB Drew Waters in a trade. To accommodate this addition, he has dropped Jonathan India. India is now a free agent.
-
I think it was Fiers last year too. I offered anyone in the league free cap space if they claimed him just to cut him again. One cut didn't feel like enough justice was done. The trauma required genuine closure.
-
Man that was a brutal outing. Channeling Craig stammen
-
You and everyone else who’s a dbacks fan.

For the rest of my life people with the last name Bumgarner are going to be confused as to why I seem like an irrational asshole towards them....
-
Yeah, he's my man, loved him in Detroit but now I think he's better surrounded with offense so hope he continues

Papi you were right about castellanos
-
Yeah good job commishes. Also great job by owners staying active and making progressive moves even after their team is out of contention. We had the 'best' worst teams last year, and you can see the turnover in the standings this year as a result.
-
Really good job you guys, thanks

Very cool! Commissioners must be really good. - Drew and Jeff’s Burner Account
Seriously though we love the engagement and are really happy that we’re looking like a league that will be fun and competitive for a long time.
-
Everyone will be happy to know we're #8 on Justin Vibber's most recent power rankings of FG Pts leagues. Love having such an engaged/competitive league! https://pointsabove.com/2020/08/07/ottoneu-power-rankings-july-2020/
-
Fyi I forgot my minor league guys and they are being called up bielak and Monte Harrison
-
I need an OF. Gore, Machado, Goldy and Javier on the table.
-
Please trade me a first basemen
-
If you need starting pitching I need Outfielders. Talk to me.
-
Things just got a little hairy there trying to make cuts. Cut players to get to $400 but then add an extra roster spot that I need a $1 that I didn't have, so had to go back to the chopping block. Oh well, I am sure I didn't need that depth in a COVID season :)
-
Woo first trade of 2020 season!
-
I can't imagine it taking longer than 3 hours, unless we get 12 hours to nominate a player like in the MILB draft portion :) Looking forward to my first draft with you all tonight. Good luck everyone and I hope you are all staying healthy.
-
My suggestion would be three hours which is also my guess on how long it takes
-
Dawn?
-
Do we have a time limit for tonight's draft before we decide to split it into 2 drafts? (Speaking as a Eastern time zone guy)
-
Looking forward to it!
-
Happy draft day everyone! Make sure you know when the draft is starting (8pm ET but know your time zone) so that we can get started on time. This will help us finish earlier so the east coasters aren’t up crazy late. Looking forward to it!
-
Players that opt out will be treated the same as someone on 60 day IL - not count for a roster spot but salary will count against salary cap. Here is a good FAQ about this season: https://community.ottoneu.com/t/covid-19-changes-for-the-2020-mlb-season/7611
-
How are we going to handle players who opt out for the season?
-
No apology necessary. As you can see we are all figuring this format out. Yes, you're correct. In the auction room, players that are on a 10 MiLB roster will be shaded red (if on 40 man roster, will say team name) so you'll know that you cannot draft them. We all will have to just be accountable for not auctioning a 2020 draftee. We can stop the draft and make changes to rosters, but it adds time to the draft so hopefully we don't have to. Thanks for helping clear up this situation.
-
Sorry, new to this league and MILB thing. I can auction any minor leaguer not on the 40 man or 10 MILB roster of another fantasy team, correct? I just have to leave players that were drafted this year alone, correct?
-
No; my understanding is that option #4 won out. That is, the 2020 MLB draftees will be treated as follows: "4) They should not be eligible for the 40-man roster auction. We wait for MiLB draft until after the 2020 season and base order on final standings (no draftee eligible to be auctioned before then unless called up to MLB)."
-
Sorry for not clarifying. The result of the poll was that no new draftees are eligible for the auction this weekend. The only way that they are eligible for auction during this season is if they get call up to the MLB. Otherwise, we will have a MiLB draft after the entire season to draft those players onto 10-MiLB rosters. That draft order will be based on final season standings.
-
So no MILB draft means the new draft class is eligible for auction on Sunday?
-
Lol some of the tork auctions have been silly
-
Sounds good! Shall I rename my team "Tanking for Torkelson?"
-
Hey all! Happy 4th. The results of the poll are in and the most popular option is to not have a MiLB draft until after this shortened season based on final standings. Thanks for the input and apologies to everyone for the flip flop. Looking forward to the draft next weekend!
-
I'm in agreement with Jersey Mike's. The feature of this league is the 10MiLB, which impacts economics, competitive cycles, etc. and so believe all players should go through that process prior to entering the broader player pool. From there I am flexible on number of MiLB drafts and timing as well.
-
Another question: I’m firmly in the should NOT be eligible for the 40-man auction camp, but I don’t particularly care about when the MiLB draft happens. I am concerned that options 2, 3, and 4 will split votes and we’ll end up including those players in the 40-man draft, despite lacking a majority opinion. Could we instead treat this as an either/or question first, and then determine when the draft would be if that’s what we decide?
-
I forgot it was based on current standings. Thanks, that helps me decide how to vote.
-
If it was a “normal season“ the draft would have been held around this time based on the current season standings.
-
Stupid question about the MiLB draft. Why wouldn't this year's MiLB draft be based on last year's standings? All of the voting options were either random or based on future results.
-
Hi guys, tried opening the link but couldn't so I will go with the league's decision. Thanks for offering though, can't wait for baseball to begin, be careful people.
-
Hi all, after hearing from multiple parties, we thought it would be best to be democratic about how we make the decision about 2020 MLB draftees (players drafted in this year's MLB draft). Please fill out the following poll: https://linkto.run/p/BANYJ49A
The poll will close at end of day on Friday (central time). We will disclose the results on Saturday so that everyone will have time to prepare for the draft. Thanks!
-
Hey all! Thanks to everyone for filling out the poll. We have settled on 7-10pm CT on Sunday July 12th. If we need to have extra time then we will finish the following Sunday (July 19th) starting at 7pm CT until complete. Because there hasn't been baseball and we haven't drafted yet, the auction draft will include all recent draftees. Let us know if there are any questions.
-
Completed the poll, and will try to work around whatever is decided. Looking forward to it!

I'm good for most of the times, and even if unavailable, I'm basically dumpster diving $1 players so please schedule best time based on everyone else's availability.
-
The poll should give choice to change it for your time zone but I believe that default is central time bc that’s where I am. - Jeff
-
Are these times Eastern or Central? I can't remember.
-
Hey all! Hope people are hanging in there with everything that is going on in the world. With the appearance that baseball may be back toward the end of July, we figured it would be worthwhile to set up a time to draft. Please fill out the following poll: http://whenisgood.net/flips2 PLEASE REMEMBER that we have people on both coasts so flexibility is appreciated where possible. We'll likely need one 4-hr window or two 2-hr windows to complete a second year draft. Thanks!
-
Hope everyone is doing alright. I'm just staying inside hoping there is some baseball
